Child-Protective Prosecutions
• Approaching cases with the BEST INTEREST OF THE CHILD in mind is known as child-protective prosecutions.
• Upholding the best interest of the child is a duty under Philippine law; we refer to it as the DUTY OF CARE for child victims.
• This duty of care must go hand in hand with BURDEN OF PROOF in prosecution of cases.
