On November 23rd 2016, the Ontario Centres of Excellence hosted its Advancing Education Partnering Forum in Kitchener, Ontario. The day-long event offered 170+ educators and education technology stakeholders an opportunity to deliver elevator pitches that either described the key problem they were trying to solve (educators) or the technology solution being developed for market and scaling (industry partners). Designed to foster innovation partnership in the education sector and to inform stakeholders of the opportunities the OCE Advancing Education initiative offers, the day concluded with a keynote presentation delivered by WIN research associate Dr. Ryan DeForge.
Entitled, The Key Conditions for Innovation to Thrive, the presentation positioned the notions of innovation, value and scalability along an innovation adoption pathway, then outlined some of the key conditions that the WIN research team has identified in its research program on innovation adoption.
