DESIGN NARRATIVE AND PROGRAM

Wildlife offers tremendous eastern exposure to the Atlantic Ocean, spilling right out onto the beach. Inspired by the natural contours of the beach – the crashing waves, the gentle curves in the sand, the towering palm trees – we have merged nature and architecture, landscape and design, and crafted an oasis of surprise and discovery. From the moment you arrive, you are drawn to explore, to dive in with the eagerness of a curious child. You are invited to get lost; to touch each surface, to investigate every sound, color and smell. Our design is about unexpected moments – the feeling of stumbling upon a secret hideaway.

We’ve created “garden clearings” for each assorted program, where activities can be revealed or concealed as desired, as public or private as each guest prefers. The journey through the space is transformative; it whisks you away from the city and the boardwalk, even away from the hotel itself, and into your own private paradise.

Some spaces are about sharing experiences – indulging with friends over delicious local food, tropical cocktails and the sense of an endless summer, about seeing and being seen. We want a place where guests can play volleyball and listen to music over the soothing sounds of waves rolling in. “Longtable” at Wildlife epitomizes this shared experience; it is a space where friends, old and new, can come together and socialize.

Others are about seclusion; they exude privacy and romance – intimate hideaways to lounge and tan, or talk in small, private groups. Guests can recline in comfortable hammocks and rest in luxurious cabanas, beautiful yet durable, designed to age well and look better with wear, timeless like the ocean. We want to create a space where every experience is unique.
