We Can Fight For Our Future
By Jessie Leyva (age
I am the keeper of my future, and in my future, my ancestors give me the strength I need to fight racism and bullying. I will never forget my culture, keeping it with me forever. We can choose to inspire the people around us. I hope one day everyone stops being racist and live a better life by not eating junk food, instead eating healthier. I hope for this earth to be better, for people to stop littering and teach kids the same.

Words To Power
I Am a Dreamer by Jaimie Navarrete (age 11)
I am a dreamer! I am powerful! I am a helper to my family! I come from my ancestors, my family, and our sacrifices. Their struggles inspire me to help other people around me. In the mirror, I see someone powerful, someone kind. I surround myself with people who will help me accomplish my goals for the future. In my dreams, I imagine becoming a better person. I can create something that will help other people follow their dreams. I imagine myself changing the world!
