Nancy Tate - 2023 Recipient State Representative

Nancy Tate is a woman whose faith is an integral part of her daily life. She is blessed with the love and support of her husband and children. In 2019, she was elected as State Representative serving the citizens in the 27th House District, which is comprised of Meade County and part of Hardin County. Representative Tate serves as the co-chair of the Pro-Life Caucus in the General Assembly.
Representative Tate serves as President of the Meade-Breck Right to Life. Her pro-life advocacy didn’t just begin when she arrived in Frankfort. Representative Tate has been an advocate for the sanctity of human life for almost four decades. She holds in her heart the conviction that every life is created with a purpose. When ‘life begins’ is not theory but the platform of her convictions that she brought with her to the Kentucky House of Representatives.
Upon being elected,Representative Tate wasted no time working with her colleagues and leadership to craft pro-life and pro-family legislation and policies. In the 2022 Legislative session, she was the chief sponsor of House Bill 3 – working with her colleagues and pro-life organizations, such as Kentucky Right to Life, to craft the Humanity in Healthcare Act, a prolife omnibus bill, capturing six significant prolife bills in one act.
Working with Representative Tate you know just how much her faith inspires her convictions. When you know that each and every human life that comes into existence is made in the image and likeness of God, it helps you to realize what’s at stake in the abortion battle and in the pro-life movement as a whole.
Representative Tate’s composure and inner strength are evident whether she is standing firm in long legislative debates or in the face of often harsh criticisms and tough questioning from the media. She has earned the trust of her constituents and the admiration of pro-life Kentuckians across the state for her steadfast support of the right to life.
