Caregiver Conference set for Aug. 12 The 2015 Caregiver Conference is set for 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Aug. 12, at 1501 Ave. Q, the Prosperity Bank Operations Annex Building. The event is free and open to all caregivers, anyone facing the challenges of dementia, and those who want to learn methods for dealing with the stress that comes with caregiving. Guest speaker is Tam Cummings, author of âUntangling Alzheimerâsâ and âThe Final Year...The Final Moment.â RSVPs are to be sent to Linda Rautis at 806-762-8721 or lrautis@spag.org. The deadline to register is July 31.
The event is free, but seating is limited. Lunch will be provided. The South Plains Association of Governments, Area Agency on Aging is sponsoring the event.
