To Better Serve You… Our goal at all times is for superior service and high quality food every time you come to Worcester Country Club. In order for us to maintain these levels we have adopted common practices that are adhered to at high level food establishments and Private Clubs. In creating superior service we have a “certain number of Guests to Time” reservation policy. This entails us to have a certain number of diners per every half hour on our reservation sheets. For example; the most glaring reason service and food falters is for too many diners to arrive at the same time. The service becomes slow and the kitchen staff has to prepare foods in bulk as opposed to individual attention to each meal. On a recent evening we had over 100 diners and more than half of the diners sat at their tables within 20 minutes of each other. Although we can produce a satisfactory product with the cramped reservations, our goal is to go above and beyond satisfactory. As a reminder, our reservation sheets only have a certain number of diners allowed per every half hour. I am sure you have experienced calling a restaurant for a reservation for a certain time and they tell you that that time is full and give you other times in that evening available for a reservations for you to choose from. They do this for the reasons I mentioned above, they cannot possibly serve a full dining room all at the same time and produce high quality service and foods. When making a reservation we hope to be able to accommodate your requested time, but if we cannot we wanted to communicate why we may ask you to come at slightly later or earlier time for that evening, and it is for one reason only…to better serve you. Most importantly, when making a reservation, please make the reservation for the time you are planning on sitting to dine, not the time you plan on arriving and socialize for a period of time prior to dining. Thank you for your understanding as we welcome and embrace successful “best practices” within the private club industry in assisting us in raising our service and product standards. See you at the club, Bill Shaw General Manager
