Wishing you all a Happy 4 of July! This being the 250 I hope you have something planned th th, to make it a special Holiday!

Another successful Invitational wrapped up last weekend, leaving the last week of July open for Member play. The month of July is relatively open, with few outings and tee closures. A great opportunity to take advantage of free play with your family or entertain guests.

The forecast is for Hot & Humid weather conditions over the 4 . I invite you to keep cool at the pool to ride this heat wave out. With the extreme heat, there may be times when the pool kitchen is closed, and food will be made and run from the clubhouse kitchen.

Hats off to Adam Moore and his Grounds Department crew for providing us with incredible playing conditions! The course is in the best condition I have ever seen.

The club’s membership roster is currently full, with a waitlist and many Social Members wanting to transfer into an Active category. If you have family, friends, and business associates who are interested in membership, now is a good time to start the process for next year and beyond. Our Membership Director Lori Cook can assist you with the process and can be contacted at cookl@worcestercc.org or by calling the clubhouse at 508-864-8064.

For 51 years, the members of Worcester Country Club havecometogether for something extraordinary. The Lori Lajoie Charity Golf Tournamentisnot simply a day of golf—it is a powerful expression of how we care for our community. Since 1974, this member-driven tradition has raised more than $8 million for Seven Hills Foundation, supporting individuals and families across Central Massachusetts and beyond.

Why It Matters Seven Hills Foundation provides life-changing services for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, autism, brain injuries, mental and behavioral health challenges, and families facing economic hardship and complex trauma Because of this tournament, thousands of lives have been changed

Why WCC Is Unique —Worcester Country Club is proud to be the only private country club in the region to host a member-led charity golf tournament benefiting one nonprofit partner for more than 50 consecutive years. This tradition reflects the generosity, leadership, and heart of WCC membership.

Trivia’s Answer

Gene Sarazen, when he hit the shot heard round the world and won the first modern-day Grand Slam at Augusta National in 1935. At that time, he claimed to be playing with Ogg-Mented clubs. Sarazen is credited with making The Masters what it is today.
