KYB original equipment shock absorbers are meticulously designed and tested over many years by KYB and OE engineers to meet or exceed OE manufacturers specifications and operational parameters.
KYB aftermarket shock absorbers and struts are manufactured on the same KYB OE assembly lines and are specifically calibrated to compensate for wear caused by vehicle age & kilometres driven, in order to restore the ride as close as possible to how the vehicle was when it was brand new. Strut Spring Seat Pads act as an insulator between the coil spring & strut spring seat, preventing any excessive operational noise or movement to occur. By the time suspension struts are due to be replaced, the Strut Spring Seat Pads will have compressed/ hardened over time and begun to deteriorate and break apart. It is for this reason, KYB recommends that Strut Spring Seat Pads be replaced when suspension struts are replaced.
