Fight Director

Andy Fraser is a certified Fight Director and Stage Combat Instructor, with accreditations from the Society of Australian Fight Directors Inc. (SAFDI), British Academy of Dramatic Combat (BADC), and Fight Directors Canada. Over a career spanning thirty years, mostly in Perth, Andy has staged fights for a wide range of companies, including Black Swan State Theatre Company, WA Opera, and Yirra Yaakin Theatre Company. He has also taught Stage Combat at several institutions, including the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts (WAAPA), Curtin University, and Principal Academy of Dance. Andy is the Owner of Stage Combat Perth, which, in addition to the aforementioned work, provides workshops and training opportunities to dozens of high schools in WA.

Andy has been a regular instructor at SAFDI National Workshops in Perth, Sydney, Brisbane, and Townsville, and has also taught at international workshops in the UK and Canada.
