HELPFUL HINTS

PARKING

Let's take the guesswork out of your vacation We've put together the following pages of helpful hints so you can spend more time enjoying and relaxing and less time looking for the ironing board

THERMOSTAT

Please park in front of attached garage (parking in the garage is not allowed). For additional overflow parking, please contact us for directions. Please do not park on the grass.

WINTER WARNING

Please be careful coming down to the house from the garage in winter months We try our best to shovel and salt, but the walkway can still be slippery Use caution

GARBAGE & RECYCLING

Please bag animal products (like meats) in a plastic bag before disposing to help deter wildlife

While we don't currently offer recycling services at Loonstar Lodge, we do encourage it Recycling can be dropped off at Crow Wing County Waste Management in Brainerd

GAS FIRE PIT INSTRUCTIONS

1.Remove the cover from the fire pit.

2.Turn on the propane tank.

3.Open the flow valve completely by turning it all the way open

4 Press the electric start button to ignite the fire pit

For comfort inside, the main thermostat is on the main floor near the kitchen. This one controls heating and cooling for both upstairs and downstairs. Slide the lever to your preferred temperature and use the side controls to set heat, cool, or auto The lower-level thermostat is just a sensor and only manages the in-floor heat in the basement it doesn’t cool, and it may take a bit of time to adjust Keep in mind that if you use the fireplace, it’ll cozy up the upstairs while the basement may feel a bit cooler

GEOTHERMAL SYSTEM

The lower level thermostat controls the inflow heating system Due to the property having a geothermal system, the AC cannot be on upstairs while the in-floor heat is on in the basement This would cause ice cold water to run through the flooring. Please reach out to our team for any assistance with this.

ENTERTAINMENT

MUSIC/SOUNDBARS

Both the main floor and lower level living rooms are equipped with a Polk soundbar To start enjoying your favorite tunes, use the Polk remote on the end tables.

TVs

Loonstar Lodge is equipped with several smart TVs. Simply login to your preferred platform using the Roku remote, enter your checkout date and start watching! .

GAMES

Head out in the boat or just right off the dock (the fishing is quite good off the dock) and fish the day away! Expect to catch panfish, large-mouth bass and northern pike. Don't forget to purchase your MN fishing license!

GAS FIRE TABLE

The lakeside deck (off the screen porch) has a fire table with chairs - the perfect spot for sipping a late night glass of wine!

FISH CLEANING + DISPOSAL

If you're lucky enough to catch some fish during your stay, here are a few simple guidelines to help keep the property clean and wildlife away:

After cleaning your fish, please place all fish remains in a sealed bag and store them in the freezer until trash day. This helps prevent strong odors and discourages local wildlife, including bears, raccoons, skunks, and other animals.

Please thoroughly clean the fish cleaning area when you're finished, including rinsing away any scales or debris and disposing of all waste properly.

Never leave fish remains outside, in outdoor trash cans, or on the property.

Please also remember to follow all

Thank you for helping us keep the property clean and enjoyable for everyone!
