By Rudolf Steiner, T H Meyer
This volume supplements Rudolf Steiner's First Class Lessons and Mantras: The Michael School Meditave Path in Nineteen Steps (2017). It contains the so-called recapitulaon lessons given in various places, including Dornach, from April 3 to September 20, 1924. While the book does not introduce any new mantras, it offers new forms of presenng and explaining many of them. This supplemental volume presents a real discovery two recapitulaon lessons given in Breslau, Germany (now Wroclaw, Poland), on June 12 and 13, 1924. The lessons were discovered only recently in the archive of Eugen and Lili Kolisko. The lessons (first published in German by Perseus Basel in 2016) were writen in shorthand and deciphered by Elea Gradenwitz, published here in English for the first me, with the kind permission of Andrew Clunies-Ross, grandson of the Koliskos.

Introducon to Steiner Educaon The Waldorf School
By Francis Edmunds
Rudolf Steiner's educaonal system long established and respected on the European connent is gradually spreading around the world. Its radical principles, based on a view of the human being as composed of body, soul, and spirit, allows for a truly holisc and balanced educaon that nourishes the whole child. The author explains, in a clear and lively style, many aspects of Steiner's educaonal theories, especially the three stages of child development and how the Waldorf curriculum provides a healthy understanding, nurturing, and support for these phases. Edmunds discusses the role of the class teacher, the ''main lesson,'' the four temperaments, atudes toward discipline, compeon, and examinaons.
A Second Classroom Parent Teacher Relaonships in a Waldorf School
By Torin M. Finser
What does a healthy, successful school look like? Is it all about measurable outcomes, test scores, and pass/fail grades set by the government? Can learning be quanfied in short-term measurements or does real learning take years to manifest in a career or biography. All seem to agree that a healthy school is also a community, and that community depends on the quality of relaonships - chiefly the relaonships among students, teachers, and parents. This book features a comprehensive examinaon of the parent - teacher relaonship in all its dimensions, from parent evenings and conferences to communicaon, conflict, and the life cycle of parent involvement in their school. In between the chapters on praccal advice are secons that consider the issues from a deeper, spiritual dimension.
The Essence of Waldorf Educaon
By Peter Selg
Read an excerpt from this book (PDF). Schools reflect the state of society. If society is materialisc, compeve, egoisc, technological, and without concern for human values and long-term thinking, our schools will tend to reflect those values. However, what if educaon were about something else? What if educaon were about the future? What if educaon were a about nurturing a new generaon of human beings, integrated in body, soul, and spirit and able to think for themselves and have the capacity to love? Perhaps the world would change. The Waldorf school, iniated and guided in 1919 by Rudolf Steiner, was conceived with precisely such an end in view. In this passionate, inspiring, and moving book, Peter Selg, speaks from a deep knowledge of Anthroposophy and from his extensive experience as a child psychiatrist.

Fairytales, Families & Forests
Storytelling with Young Children
By Georgiana Keable, Dawne McFarlane, Araiz Mesanza
Children love songs, acon rhymes and stories. They love their parents telling them stories, whether at bedmes, mealmes, play mes, fesvals or family occasions.
Parents can use this book to forget themselves and just enjoy being with their children and telling stories, oen again and again!
Storytelling is vital for the development of language which is why Einstein suggested telling fairytales to smulate children’s imaginaon and thinking.
Fairytales, Families & Forests is a handy guide to storytelling with children with a unique treasury of 50, me-tested stories to enrich family life and insl a love of trees, nature and the outdoors.
Fairytales, Families and Forests is the sequel to The Natural Storyteller: Wildlife tales for telling, by Georgiana Keable. This new tle encourages parents and teachers of very young children to tell stories in their family or pre-school.
There is a chapter for each year of the child’s life from birth to seven years, with age specific stories, verses, games and how to use them, including the use of sign language and special needs.
Each year will include ideas for celebrang the seasons, for parcipaon, for harnessing rhythm and rhyme, puppets and cras.
A generous number of stories and verses will be offered for each year in the child’s life as examples. References will be made to research on the effect on children of technology vs. storytelling. The ethical content of tradional tales, and the expression of different temperaments is baked into the material.

The Foundaons and Principles of Biodynamic Preparaons
By Dr Manfred Klett
At the heart of the biodynamic method are the eight preparaons used to enhance the health and vitality of the soil: horn manure, horn silica, yarrow, chamomile, netle, oak bark, dandelion and valerian.
In this deeply insighul book, renowned biodynamic expert Manfred Klet explores the principles that underlie the preparaons.
He looks in detail at each preparaon, describing their different properes, how their substances are enhanced and transformed through the stages of preparaon, and the effect each preparaon has on the soil and plants.
Throughout, Klet advocates a holisc approach, which sees farms and gardens as integrated living organisms with the preparaons playing a key role in improving the quality of the soil and producing healthy plants.
This is essenal reading for biodynamic praconers who want to delve more deeply into the origins and theory of the preparaons, and who want to beter understand the spiritual principles that underpin how they work.

Wring to Reading the Steiner Waldorf Way Foundaons of Creave Literacy in Classes 1 and 2
By Abi Allanson, Nicky Teensma
How children engage with reading and wring is a hot topic. There is no 'one size fits all' best way. However, Rudolf Steiner/Waldorf educaon offers a holisc, acve and creave approach based on the foundaon of children's rich spoken language development. The child discovers their own voice through movement, form drawing and storytelling. The magic of the alphabet is invoked in sound, story and image. Children tell stories and then write them down, which leads organically into reading. How to teach wring and reading using Steiner/Waldorf principles and methods.
Draws on Waldorf pedagogy, best pracce mainstream primary methods, and specialist dyslexia techniques. Gives teachers the theory to introduce literacy with confidence. Tried and tested easy-to-use lesson plans with assessment & feedback ps, movement, games, and acvies. This theory and praccebased Waldorf book gives the foundaons for creave literacy and teaching children how to write and read in Classes 1 and 2, or UK Years 2 and 3. It explores how Steiner/ Waldorf pedagogy dovetails with mainstream primary approaches and specialist dyslexia-friendly methods.

The Foundaons of Human Experience
By Rudolf Steiner, Robert Lathe
Opening address, Stutgart, August 20, 191914 lectures, Stutgart, August 21-September 5, 1919 (CW 293)2 lectures, Berlin, March 15 and 17, 1917 (CW 66) "Although we can physically see children only aer their birth, we need to be aware that birth is also a connuaon. We do not want to look only at what the human being experiences aer death, that is, at the spiritual connuaon of the physical. We want to be aware that physical existence is a connuaon of what higher beings have done without our assistance. Our form of educang can have the correct atude only when we are aware that our work with young people is a connuaon of what higher beings have done before birth." Rudolf Steiner This course on educaon contains some of the most remarkable and significant lectures ever given by Rudolf Steiner.
Educaon of the Child And Early Lectures on Educaon
By Rudolf Steiner
As early as 1884, while tutoring a boy with special needs, Steiner began a lifelong interest in applying spiritual knowledge to the praccal aspects of life. Steiner originally published the essay at the core of this book in 1907. It represents his earliest ideas on educaon, in which he lays out the soul spiritual processes of human development, describing the need to understand how the being of a child develops through successive "births," beginning with the physical body's entry into earthly life, and culminang in the emergence of the I-being with adulthood.
The Kingdom of Childhood
Seven Lectures and Answers to Quesons Given in Torquay, August 12-20
By Rudolf Steiner, Christopher Bamford
These seven inmate, aphorisc talks were presented to a small group on Steiner's final visit to England. Because they were given to "pioneers" dedicated to opening a new Waldorf school, these talks are oen considered one of the best introducons to Waldorf educaon. Steiner shows the necessity for teachers to work on themselves first, in order to transform their own inherent gis. He explains the need to use humor to keep their teaching lively and imaginave. Above all, he stresses the tremendous importance of doing everything in the knowledge that children are cizens of both the spiritual and the earthly worlds. And, throughout these lectures, he connually returns to the praccal value of Waldorf educaon.

Tone and Speech Eurythmy
By Elena Zuccoli, Dorothea Mier
When Marie and Rudolf Steiner developed the art of eurythmy in the early tweneth century, their aim was to awaken the musical element within the human form, in a spiritual way. In this unique form of movement, both music and the spoken word are made visible through dance and gestures. Drawing on her first-hand experience of learning from Marie and Rudolf Steiner, celebrated eurythmist Elena Zuccoli describes the development of eurythmy and gives a personal account of the challenges that faced the early students as they sought to master this new discipline. Available for the first me in English, this fascinang book is ideal for eurythmists who wish to deepen their understanding and pracce of tone and speech eurythmy, and anyone who wants to learn more about the history of this special art.
Reflexes, Movement, Learning & Behaviour
Analysing and unblocking neuro-motor immaturity
By Sally Goddard Blythe
Reflexes, Movement, Learning & Behaviour addresses: Why the physical basis for learning is important? How immaturity in aspects of physical development impacts learning, emoonal wellbeing and behaviour? How this can be idenfied? How can this be assessed and what forms of remediaon are available? Reflexes, Movement, Learning & Behaviour covers an area of educaon and emoonal wellbeing that either tends to be over-looked or falls between professional domains. It provides informaon that can help parents, teachers and other professionals to understand what lies behind the under-achieving child and adults who suffer from balance-related anxiety disorders. The method fills a yawning gap in ‘the system’, which oen fails to recognise underlying physical factors in underachievement, behavioural and emoonal problems.
Covid Vaccines from a Spiritual Perspecve Consequences for the Soul and Spirit and for Life aer Death
By Thomas Mayer, Carlotta Dyson
Vaccinaon is a topic that has long divided opinion. Today, in view of Covid-19, that debate has become ever more polarized. Illustrated throughout with full-colour images, Covid Vaccines from a Spiritual Perspecve deals with scienfic facts, but also with research that requires spiritual-scienfic methods. Led by main author and acvist Thomas Mayer, the volume features reports, experiences and commentary from more than fiy contributors with clairvoyant and psychic abilies. From their observaon s, it is argued that Covid vaccines are not harmless jabs, but potenally violent intervenons in the subtle structures of the human body, soul and spirit. The vaccines even have implicaons for an individual’s life beyond death. Instead of the soul evolving in the aerlife, it could remain bound to the earth, suffering deeply. Although this books conclusion may appear alarming, it is not the authors intenon to create fear.

Agriculture Course
The Birth of the Biodynamic Method
By Rudolf Steiner, G. Adams
When Rudolf Steiner gave these lectures 80 years ago, industrial farming was on the rise and organic methods were being replaced in the name of science, efficiency and technology. With the widespread alarm over the quality of food in recent years, and the growth of the organic movement and its mainstream acceptance, percepons are changing. The qualitave aspect of food is once again on the agenda, and in this context Rudolf Steiner's only course of lectures on agriculture is crical to the current debate. With these talks, Steiner created and launched 'biodynamic' farming - a specific form of agriculture which has come to be regarded as 'premium organic'. However, the agriculture Steiner speaks of in this book is much more than organic, and involves working with the cosmos, earth, and spiritual enes.
Philosophy of Freedom
The Basis for a Modern World Concepon
By Rudolf Steiner, M. Wilson
Are we free, whether we know it or not? Or is our sense of freedom merely an illusion? Rudolf Steiner tackles this age-old problem in a new way. He shows that by taking account of our own acvity of thinking, we can know the reasons for our acons. And if these reasons are taken from our world of ideals, then our acons are free, because we alone determine them. But this freedom cannot be setled for us by philosophical argument. It is not simply granted to us. If we want to become free, we must strive through our own inner acvity to overcome our unconscious urges and habits of thought. To do this, we must reach a point of view that recognises no limits to knowledge, sees through all illusions, and opens the door to an experience of the reality of the spiritual world. Then we can achieve the highest level of evoluon. We can recognise ourselves as free spirits.
Solving the Riddle of the Child
The Art of Child Study
By Christof Wiechert, Matthew Barton
Christof Wiechert here picks up the art of the child study as a key tool in nurturing pupils development and, at the same me, teachers own growing powers of insight. In short, the approach described here can enliven the educaonal and social dimensions of a whole school community.

Wall Street and the Bolshevik Revoluon
The remarkable true story of the American Capitalists who financed the Russian Communists
By Antony Cyril Sutton
Why did the 1917 American Red Cross Mission to Russia include more financiers than medical doctors? Rather than caring for the vicms of war and revoluon, its members seemed more intent on negoang contracts with the Kerensky government, and subsequently the Bolshevik regime. In a courageous invesgaon, Antony Suton establishes tangible historical links between US capitalists and Russian communists. Drawing on State Department files, personal papers of key Wall Street figures, biographies and convenonal histories, Suton reveals: The role of Morgan banking execuves in funnelling illegal Bolshevik gold into the US. The co-opon of the American Red Cross by powerful Wall Street forces. The intervenon by Wall Street sources to free the Marxist revoluonary Leon Trotsky, whose aim was to topple the Russian government.
Behind the Wall of Illusion
The Religious, Esoteric and Occult Worlds of the Beatles
By Sean Macleod
The Beatles brought colour, joy, freedom and love to a grey, post-war world. But the most successful group in popular music history also harboured hidden, somemes darker worlds and influences that are oen downplayed by their biographers. In their career, the Fab Four were to cross paths with many spiritual movements, religious groups, esoteric philosophies and myscal teachings. Inevitably, their thinking was affected by the ideas they encountered. These ideas in turn helped shape their music and – given their vast popularity – the public consciousness. Behind the Wall of Illusion examines the spiritual inspiraons that the Beatles brought to the changing cultural landscape of the 1960s.
Wall Street and the Rise of Hitler
By Antony Cyril Sutton
'The contribuon made by American capitalism to German war preparaons can only be described as phenomenal. It was certainly crucial to German military capabilies... Not only was an influenal sector of American business aware of the nature of Naziism, but for its own purposes aided Naziism wherever possible (and profitable) - with full knowledge that the probable outcome would be war involving Europe and the United States. 'Penetrang a cloak of falsehood, decepon and duplicity, Professor Antony C. Suton reveals one of the most remarkable but unreported facts of the Second World War: that key Wall Street banks and American businesses supported Hitler's rise to power by financing and trading with Nazi Germany.

Study of Man
General Educaon Course
By Rudolf Steiner, A. C. Harwood
Although these lectures were given to teachers as preparatory material, they are by no means concerned only with educaon. Study of Man is Steiner's most succinct presentaon of his human-centred spiritual psychology, accessible to anyone interested in the riddles of human existence. His approach is unique in that it takes account not only of influences working into humanity from the past, but also of future states of consciousness and being. Reprinted here in the original 'classic' Harwood/Fox translaon, the lectures were delivered in 1919 to the teachers of the Waldorf school in Stutgart, the first to be founded on the work of Rudolf Steiner. Over the years, since the exponenal growth of Steiner educaon around the world, this volume has become the basic study text for teachers in Steiner schools.
Theosophy
An Introducon to the Supersensible Knowledge of the World and the Desnaon of Man
By Rudolf Steiner, M. Cotterell
Given his energec involvement in praccal iniaves and extensive lecturing, Rudolf Steiner had litle me to write books. Of those he did write - belonging almost enrely to the earlier years of his work - four tles form an indispensable introducon to his later teaching: Knowledge of the Higher Worlds, Occult Science, The Philosophy of Freedom and Theosophy. Theosophy focuses on a psychology based not on the usual duality of body and mind, but on the more ancient division of body, soul and spirit. Steiner describes in detail the funcons and organs of these three aspects of the human being, and the objecve realms to which they belong. Just as the body derives from and belongs to the material world, so do the human soul and spirit belong to their own specific realms.
What is Biodynamics?
A Way to Heal and Revitalize the Earth
By Rudolf Steiner
In 1924 - in response to quesons about the depleon of soils and a general deterioraon of crops and livestock - Rudolf Steiner gave eight lectures on "the spiritual foundaons for a renewal of agriculture." Based on his suggesons and spiritual science, generaons of farmers, gardeners, viculturist, and researchers developed biodynamics as a healing, nurturing, holisc, ecological, organic, and spiritual approach to a sustainable care of the Earth. Biodynamic methods consider the farm or garden to be a self-contained organism, embedded in the living landscape of the Earth, which is in turn part of a living, dynamic cosmos of vital, spiritual energies. The aim is to increase the health and vitality of the whole, including the farmer or gardener. The biodynamic praconer follows an alchemical, transformave path of working with the Earth through the nine "homeopathic" preparaons created by Steiner.

The Language of Plants
A Guide to the Doctrine of Signatures
By Julia Graves
'As a child, I just knew which plant to pick up and hold to my head for a headache to go away. Once I heard about the concept of a 'doctrine of signatures', I would just stand silently, in awe of nature talking to me, talking and talking in her silent, direct speech. The book of nature seemed so obviously spelled out, and in oddest contrast to what I learned in medical school. My professors seemed never to have heard of nature being vibrant and alive and brimming with paterns of energy that are right there for us to understand and use... This direct and primordial experience of being part of nature's omnipresent, cyclic course taught me more in the realm of no-words than any university ever could have.' Julia Graves During the Middle Ages, communicang with nature was called the 'doctrine of signatures', and it was an important part of the work of tradional healers and herbalists.
Knowledge of the Higher Worlds and Its Atainment
By Rudolf Steiner, Henry B Monges
Here is the classic translaon of Steiner's foundaonal guide to the spiritual path. It is a manual for ataining suprasensory knowledge of the invisible and opens new perspecves on one's essenal purpose in life. In 1904, Rudolf Steiner first made this account of the Western esoteric path of iniaon public. With great precision, he carefully leads us from the culvaon of the fundamental soul atudes of reverence and inner tranquillity to inner development through the stages of preparaon, illuminaon, and iniaon. Praccal exercises in inner and outer observaon and moral development are given. By paently and persistently following these, new organs of soul and spirit begin to form that reveal the contours of the higher worlds hitherto concealed from us.
Staying Connected
How to Connue Your Relaonship with Those Who Have Died
By Rudolf Steiner
"This is what it comes down to: that we learn to experience that those who have passed through the gate of death have only assumed another form. Having died, they stand before our feelings like those who, through life experiences, have travelled to distant lands, whither we can follow them only later. We have therefore nothing to fear but a me of separaon. Spiritual science must help us learn to feel and experience this in the most living way we can." Rudolf Steiner "Living and working with the concepts and exercises in these talks and meditaons has changed my life. This is a most praccal book. Do what it recommends, and you will experience the presence of the dead in your lives. You will know that the community of human beings on both sides of the threshold is not theory, but reality." The Wise Enchanter
A Journey Through the Alphabet
By Shelley Davidow, Krystyna Kurzyca
Words are disappearing from the world. Something is lurking in the deepest waters, devouring all the words that are no longer used. No one has noced, but the world is slowly growing darker. For many years no children have come to the Enchanted Islands in search of Wisdom, and the Wise Enchanter is growing old. Four children from the corners of the earth have been sent on a quest to rediscover each leter, unlock the treasure of language, and thereby grow wise. Time is running out; if the children do not reach the castle of the Wise Enchanter in me, Wisdom and light may vanish from the world altogether.
In Light of the Child
A Journey Through the 52 Weeks of the Year in Both Hemispheres for Child
By Michael Hedley Burton
Children live deeply in the experience of the seasons. Their unity with nature is inially unconsciou s and uncrical, and this "Garden of Eden" consciousness gradually fades as they become more self-aware and confront the outer world as I-beings. The verses in this book help children bridge the gap from their unconscious connecon with nature to a living feeling for the seasons that will stay with them through life. These verses follow the course of the year, as inspired by Rudolf Steiner's Calendar of the Soul. The book is arranged so that par-ents, teachers, eurythmists, and chil-dren can follow the course of the year in both the northern and southern hemispheres.
Calendar of the Soul
By Rudolf Steiner, Ruth Pusch
Rudolf Steiner's collecon of fiy-two meditave verses - presented here in both English and German - were first published in 1925, shortly aer Steiner's death. These verses, represenng the fiy-two weeks of the year, begin with Easter week and offer thoughts that help one find a deeper relaonship with the spiritual forces at work throughout the year. Each verse in this volume appears alongside the corresponding verse for the week that represents a kind of opposite (or "compensang") force during the year. This durable, pocket-sized hardcover volume also includes a short introducon by Hans Pusch, describing a unique and useful way to approach The Calendar of the Soul.

Bees
Nine Lectures on the Nature of Bees
By Rudolf Steiner, Thomas Braatz
8 Lectures in Dornach, Nov 26, 1923 to Dec 22, 1923 (CW 351) In 1923
Rudolf Steiner predicted the dire state of today's honeybee. He stated that, within fiy to eighty years, we would see the consequences of mechanizing the forces that had previously operated organically in the beehive. Such pracces include breeding queen bees arficially. The fact that over sixty percent of the American honeybee populaon has died during the past ten years, and that this trend is connuing around the world, should make us aware of the importance of the issues discussed in these lectures. Steiner began this series of lectures on bees in response to a queson from an audience of workers at the Goetheanum. From physical depicons of the daily acvies of bees to the most elevated esoteric insights, these lectures describe the unconscious wisdom of the beehive and its connecon to our experience of health, culture, and the cosmos.
Agriculture
By Rudolf Steiner, Catherine E. Creeger
In this remarkable series of lectures, delivered in 1924, Rudolf Steiner first laid down the principles of biodynamic agriculture. Each lecture contains fascinang insights into farming, the plant and animal world, the nature of organic chemistry and the influences of the heavenly bodies. The discussions which followed are also recorded, in which Steiner answered quesons and engaged in debate with the audience. This edion comes with full editorial notes and appendices and includes Steiner's own handwriten notes to the series.
I am Different from You How Children Experience Themselves
By Peter Selg, M. Saar
In many of his lectures to teachers on educaon, Rudolf Steiner called atenon to a significant but oen overlooked change in the way children experience themselves and the world that occurs in the middle of childhood, in the ninth or tenth year. "There comes a me when children show, not in what they say but in their whole behavior, that they are struggling with a queson or a number of quesons that indicates a crisis in their soul life. It is a very subtle experience for the child that requires an equally subtle response." In this deep and concise book, Peter Selg illuminates this momentous phenomenon in child development, this "dramac change" in the child’s consciousness. Though it is "hardly noceable" to the observer, Steiner reveals that children during this me in life experience a sudden inner instability, a loss of the foundaon they felt had been naturally supporng and carrying them.
