C H R I S T I AACADEMY N CHRISTIAN A C A D E M Y FEBRUARY 7, 2014

Early Enrollment Results Are In! I am overjoyed to report that 95% of our existing students have returned contracts for next year! Tomorrow, we will begin reviewing open slots for placement of new students. With 119 new students having completed applications and many more students in the application process, it appears that we will close with a wait pool for almost every grade. We anticipate the possibility of adding a third class for several of our elementary grades. As we reflect upon our blessings and look forward to the future, we remain committed to serving your family and being obedient to God. Thank you for your trust and partnership.

Rejoice And Be Seen In 2014! Wear your celebration t-shirt to school on Friday, February 7 and to church on Sunday, February 9! If you returned your enrollment contract(s) and did not receive your t-shirt(s) please contact Kathy Montes at kmontes@twca.net or 936-273-2555, ext. 1004

G.I.R.L.S Build A Railroad “All aboard! G.I.R.L.S club members recently participated in the construction of a model train set. Mr. William Ferebee taught the girls the circuitry behind the assembling of a model train. The girls were given a box with instructions and a set of tracks. Their job was to assemble the tracks and then figure out how to connect them so that the railroad would work as a unit. Two sessions were spent introducing the girls to the basic electrical concepts behind the working of

a model railroad. The girls built small circuits using batteries and bulbs and then moved on to electric circuitry kits where they completed projects to ready them for the construction of the tracks. Special thanks to Mr. Ferebee for his time and use of his vintage train set., to Mr. Craig Ousley and Mr. Ken Melber for their dedication in working with the girls, and to all of the parents for their support. Information and photos submitted by Robert Roach.
