Join us for our Warrior Fund Celebration! Friday, October 23 2:30-3:30 p.m. Each class reaching 100% participation will receive a Kona Ice sno-cone! The first lower school grade reaching 100% participation will enjoy a water balloon activity! The first middle school grade reaching 100% participation will get to dunk Mr. Laugen and four other individuals* in the dunking booth! The first high school grade reaching 100% participation (already won by the 12th grade!) will get to dunk Mr. Clark and four other individuals* in the dunking booth! The grade level raising the highest dollar amount will get to dunk Mr. Zeal in the dunking booth! *All students selected for the dunking booth will be approved in advance by the appropriate administration. 3rd and 4th Grades Visit Carolina Creek Students in the third and fourth grade recently travelled to Carolina Creek Christian Camp in Huntsville, Texas for a day of team-building. While there, students participated in fun and engaging activities which challenged them to solve problems as a community. These collaborative efforts underscore the Biblical principle that God gives each of us unique talents that when used together make quick work of the tasks at hand. (Photos at right, fourth grade. Students Observe The Moon Lower school students and their parents recently marked International Observe The Moon Night with a special lecture by Rene Gedaly, president of the Houston Astronomical Society. Following the lecture, attendees were dismissed to our football field for a lunar viewing using telescopes and binoculars. Praise him, sun and moon; praise him, all you shining stars. Warriors Begin District Play With Win The Warriors christened their new home turf in style with a 44-35 district victory over Brazos Christian on Friday, September 24. The game was marked by outstanding performances including Seth Condit’s 247 passing yards and a rushing touchdown, Kyle Clark’s three touchdown receptions, and Luke Hudson’s reaching the career mark of 6,000 all purpose yards. Back to back district contests on the road await the Warriors as they visit St. Joseph in Bryan on October 2 and Bay Area Christian in League City on October 9. The team has a break in district games when they return for the big homecoming game with Legacy Christian on October 16.
Warrior Volleyball Continues District Schedule The Warrior varsity volleyball team is now 2-1 in district play with a loss to St. Thomas Episcopal (0-3) and a win over Lutheran North (3-2). The team will now go on the road for three straight district matches; the first of which will be against St. Joseph on October 1 followed by matches with Faith West on October 6 and Logos Prep on October 8. The Warrior spikers return home October 13 to face St. Thomas Episcopal. Go Warrior volleyball!
Warrior Cross Country Places In Top Ten At Meet This past Saturday the high school cross country teams competed in the Brenham Hillacious Invitational. This meet featured over 50 schools from the Cypress, Katy and Austin areas. Our girls and boys teams competed in the small school division and did very well. The girls’ team placed fifth overall and the boys’ team finished eighth overall. Next up for the varsity team is the St. Thomas Episcopal/Bellaire Invitational on Saturday, October 3. The middle school team will host a cross country meet in conjunction with the CASA Superhero Run to be held on our campus on Saturday, October 3.
