Girls Athletics Shine In 2001, The Woodlands Christian Academy won its first ever TAPPS state championship in athletics. This honor was earned by the Warrior girls’ swim team. In 2002 the team brought home championship trophies in swimming and diving. As the years progressed, girls sports programs at Woodlands Christian continued to grow. District championships were won by the girls’ basketball team in 2003, the volleyball team in 2007 and the girls’ track team in 2012. The list of female athletic accomplishments grew again when the girls’ cross country team became TAPPS state champions in October 2014. Earlier this month, the girls’ swim team broke records at the TAPPS state swim meet and came home with the state runner-up trophy. For the first time ever, our girls’ basketball team is on its way to the regional round of the TAPPS state basketball tournament! The Lady Warriors will play Marble Falls Faith Academy on Friday, February 27 at 5:30 p.m. For complete tournament information you may visit the official TAPPS website by clicking here.
The success and growth of our girls athletic programs is a another indication that Woodlands Christian is indeed achieving its mission to challenge all of our students to reach their highest potential - spiritually, academically, physically, and socially - for the Glory of Jesus Christ.
