MESSAGE FROM THE GOVERNANCE BOARD Dear Woodlands Christian Community, Simply stated, the Governance Board for The Woodlands Christian Academy has one responsibility: to assure that Woodlands Christian strives to achieve the results stated in its Global Ends Policies (see inset). The primary goal of these Ends Policies is for students to mature in their faith and development and, by graduation, have received Jesus Christ as Savior and spiritually, academically, physically, and socially. Having established this as the very foundation and sole
community both internal (founding and past board members, (local church pastors, educators, Dr. Bruce Lockerbie, Dr. Richard Reisen, Dr. Phil Graybeal, and the AdvancEd/ACSI accreditation review team). These discussions help us continue
survey feedback from families and faculty, all direct signs of satisfaction with the direction of the school. The purpose of this report is to highlight many of these achievements. The

school students made their annual trek to Quito, Ecuador to minister for ten days this summer. While there, they to Africa to minister to orphans in the country of Zambia.
Food Bank through a car wash; hosted a movie night raising $1,060 for the Make a Wish Foundation; assisted with sponsored Quito Quest Mums on a Mission.
“As we focused on the topic of ‘rejoicing’ in the Lord, we learned that rejoicing is a state of celebrating that is completely rooted in God and His goodness and not in the circumstances of our life. Many times we opened up the floor and students shared about the different ways they are letting their joy spill out in generosity towards others. They shared about serving others with their family, giving of their money to the needy, and showing kindness to their siblings. So many students wanted to share about ways they were serving God and others that I often would run out of time and encourage them to share more together in their classrooms.” Brian Dunn, Lower School Pastor

FAMILY PARTICIPATION Woodlands Christian Parent Teacher Fellowship is a busy group of parents who encourage fellowship, support the various needs of teachers, promote the school and nurture each other in Jesus Christ. PTF hosted two semester long Bible studies for parents, coordinated Prayer Pals, hosted back to school coffees and teas introducing new families, organized homecoming continually stocked teachers lounges, prepared two fantastic Teacher Appreciation events in both upper and lower schools, assisted with the Annual Auction and Gala, and planned the end of year

The Booster Club annual golf tournament, and sponsorships in media guides in support of the Warrior athletic programs. Some of the items the Booster Club purchased for Warrior athletics include: softball and football uniforms, helmets and headsets, parkas for the swim team, a new hydration station, a gym divider for the David Gymnasium, and new weights. The Booster Club hosted a Homecoming BBQ and a Spring BBQ for all Warrior families and a Fall/Winter and Spring Banquet to honor our athletes. To support the Arts, the Booster Club purchased a $1,600 new stage for the Multi Purpose Room.
