START PLANNING YOUR 2022 HOLIDAY SHOPPING. WITH THE HOLIDAY SEASON BEING AT OUR DOORSTEPS, WE KNOW IT’S ONLY A MATTER OF TIME BEFORE THE SHOPPING RUSH BEGINS. THE CHAMBER WOULD LIKE TO ENCOURAGE EVERYONE THIS HOLIDAY
For a second year in a row, The Woodlands was named the number #1 community to live in by Niche magazine, but it didn’t happen that way overnight. With precise master planning by George Mitchell and his team we are extremely blessed to be able to live work, play and shop in less than a 5-mile radius. Shopping locally helps our community and the surrounding communities of Shenandoah and Oak Ridge North to thrive and grow.
6 REASONS WHY SHOPPING LOCALLY IS IMPORTANT:
Shopping locally means helping The Woodlands Area flourish economically.
It allows for great customer service when you shop with your neighbors.
Shopping locally means that we support our local farmers and artisans in their effort to provide fresh and healthier foods and products.
Many creatives are given the opportunity to grow due to the exposure given to them by members of their community.
Shopping locally means that our community can continue its efforts to improve the amenities and offerings that will help it to remain number one.
Shopping locally means access to unique, one-of-a-kind gifts.

Senior Care Authority of Southeast Texas is Spotlight Sponsor for Breakfast Connections
The Chamber’s September Breakfast Connections brought together over 80 members and guests. The theme was Football and members shared their favorite football teams. Some members went all out dressing in their favorite team attire and incorporated some very clever skits into their commercials. Our September Spotlight Sponsor was Senior Care Authority of Southeast Texas.
Senior Care Authority of Southeast Texas is your premier source for anything related to senior living. With so many long-term care communities in our area, narrowing down the options and picking the right one can be daunting. Fortunately, you do not have to do this on your own. Senior Care Authority reduces stress and helps you make the best choice.
Their “no-cost” professional placement services use proven steps to find the most suitable care plan. They conduct an in-depth discovery session to find the best options based on the care needed, safety, location, activities, and budget. They know the communities in our area and can tell you which ones are the best. They provide you with the latest state inspection reports along with details of any formal complaints, violations, or fines.
Next, their ElderCare Consulting services answer any questions related to long-term care. How to setup a “stayat-home” plan, they perform “peace of mind visits” to a loved one when you are away and offer sensitive and experienced advocacy. There may be questions about Medicaid or VA benefits along with navigating the complex medical and long-term care insurance systems.
Also, their nationally recognized “Beyond Driving with Dignity” program is available for anyone dealing with the sensitive issues of safe senior driving. This program provides practical solutions to older drivers and is dedicated to improving the mortality rate of older drivers with transportation options to maintain their independence.
Finally, their EASE (Employee Assistance Solutions for Eldercare) service is available as an extension of any employer’s benefits. This no-cost to the employer provision, delivers all Senior Care Authority services and helps your employees reduce the time spent away from work, improves safety and focus at work, and improves overall health by reducing stress and anxiety.
Their consultations are always at no-charge, and we are here to help any way we can. To learn more, visit seniorcare-southeasttexas.com or contact Jack Angel at (936) 202-2172 for more information.
