C.A.R.E.S. Committee Supports Community Assistance Center
The C.A.R.E.S. Committee hosted a donation drive on behalf of Community Assistance. The drive was for hygiene kits for school lockers for Montgomery County students.
The committee collected full-size bottles of body wash, shampoo, conditioner, deodorant, toothpaste and toothbrushes. Recognizing the need to help students who wish to participate in school sports and may not be able to afford an extra set of hygiene products.
Community Assistance Center has proudly been serving Montgomery County since 1981. They have been providing basic needs services and long-term case management to individuals and families throughout Montgomery County who may be struggling through times of financial hardships.

Chamber Leadership Retreat Explores Collaboration, Innovation & the Future
In July, The Woodlands Area Chamber of Commerce hosted its annual Leadership Retreat in Frisco, Texas, bringing together Chamber leadership, members, volunteers and community leaders for a dynamic and inspiring experience.
The retreat provided an invaluable opportunity to connect in an informal setting, share perspectives and strengthen relationships. Throughout the program, participants engaged in insightful discussions on topics such as community collaboration, the role of the arts, innovation, sports as drivers of prosperity and shaping the future of The Woodlands Area and the Chamber. Sessions explored innovative ways to elevate arts education, strengthen the innovation ecosystem and harness the power of sports as a driver of regional prosperity.
Participants heard from an impressive lineup of speakers including Frisco Mayor Jeff Cheney; Gloria Salinas(Frisco Economic Development Partnership), Lisa Bethea (Visit Frisco), Todd Fouche (Frisco ISD), Nick Shafer (FC Dallas), Scott Burchett (Frisco RoughRiders), Monique Boyd (The Star - Dallas Cowboys World Headquarters), and Christal Howard, Frisco Chamber of Commerce.
