Each year during National Volunteer Appreciation Week, the Chamber’s C.A.R.E.S. Committee hosts an annual Volunteer Appreciation Luncheon to recognize and celebrate the accomplishments of a select group of Chamber members, our nonprofit 501(c)3 charity organizations. These organizations work tirelessly for the betterment of our community and leave such a profound impact on those they serve.

This year’s Volunteer Appreciation Luncheon “Thankful for Sweet Volunteers” will be held at Sawyer Park Icehouse and will incorporate a candy theme with colorful decorations and sweet treats to go along with a barbeque luncheon.

Through the support of generous Chamber members, C.A.R.E.S. is able to offer two complimentary seats to each nonprofit charity member of our organization. Attendees include community leaders, representatives from local nonprofits, board members and members of our C.A.R.E.S. Committee.

We are excited to announce Dan Pastorini, former NFL player, as our keynote speaker. Pastorini reached star status as the quarterback for the Houston Oilers during the Luv Ya Blue era. Pastorini has supported countless charities throughout the years, none more so than the Be An Angel Foundation, which helps profoundly deaf children and families supporting multiple children with disabilities. Pastorini currently serves as Chairman of the Board of this well-respected entity.

Corinne Coulter, Program Director for Education for Tomorrow Alliance, serves as this year’s C.A.R.E.S. Committee Team Lead. “We are looking forward to hosting another great Volunteer Appreciation Luncheon for the nonprofit chamber members! As someone who works at a nonprofit, I love this event because it gives our organization another fun way to thank and recognize the volunteers that help make everything happen. The C.A.R.E.S Committee does a great job of thinking through every detail to make the attendees feel welcomed and appreciated. We hope that the nonprofit chamber members will join us this year as we say THANK YOU to all of our wonderful volunteers!”

Ann Wolford, President and Principal Consultant for The Wolford Group, serves as the Vice President of Marketing & Community Relations for The Woodlands Area Chamber of Commerce and oversees the C.A.R.E.S. Committee. “I can’t think of a better way to pay tribute to the nonprofit community and the people behind the mission. Their hard work changes lives and the C.A.R.E.S. Committee is thrilled to celebrate them at this festive annual event!”

We live in a vibrant community that embraces philanthropic endeavors. Our C.A.R.E.S. Committee is made up of members that have the heart for serving others through a variety of community service projects throughout the year. The Volunteer Appreciation Luncheon is a remarkable celebration that the committee enjoys planning. It provides everyone in attendance an opportunity to connect with all those that serve our community. If you want to learn more about the Volunteer Appreciation Luncheon or the C.A.R.E.S. Committee please contact Cyndi Alvarado, Vice President of Membership for The Woodlands Area Chamber of Commerce, at Cyndi.alvarado@ woodlandschamber.org or 281.363.8109.

Every two years, when the Texas Legislature is in session, The Montgomery County Council of Chambers convenes in Austin for Montgomery County Day at the Capitol.

“MoCo Day” kicked off on Monday, Feb 13th with a welcome reception hosted by The Woodlands Area Chamber of Commerce where attendees made new professional connections and strengthened existing ones.

The next day, Chamber members from across Montgomery County met with Texas’ top government leaders to hear legislative updates and discuss issues that impact the business community in our region. The group heard from elected officials of both Chambers as well as representatives of the Texas Comptroller’s Offic and Texas General Land Office.

Topics discussed included healthcare, water management and education.

At the end of the day, the Chambers were recognized with resolutions in the House and Senate. The leaders of the participating Chambers were invited to the House and Senate Floors to represent their organizations.

“What a great opportunity for our member businesses to see the Legislature in action and meet with our top leaders in person,” said J.J. Hollie, President and CEO of The Woodlands Area Chamber of Commerce. “We had a productive two days to advocate for important issues that affect our region and to learn more about the business environment our members operate in.”

13 MARCH 2023 PARTNERS PROGRAM

I’m an entrepreneur.

of developers, designers, and marketers to meet their specific needs. My vision of becoming a full-service marketing and media agency with a national footprint was finally in view.

Now, only a few years later, we have been blessed to work with some of the finest companies in the country, and it has changed us. So when we revisited our vision and mission this year, we realized that we had evolved from an agency focused only on making good stuff into an agency focused on impacting the world for good, all for God’s glory.

Our new mission is: “To guide every values-driven business leader to healthy growth through quality content marketing so they can fulfill their mission and impact the world for good.”

Our emphasis on impacting the world for good was so dominant a theme for us that we realized it would require a fresh brand update.

With this in mind, I am very excited to share the big news that on January 2, 2023 our company changed its name from Reverent Media to Good Agency.

When I started Reverent Media nearly 15 years ago, I had one mission: to create God-honoring video content. But my vision for the company was so much greater.

Over the years, as God blessed my company, we expanded in both size and scope. In less than a decade, Reverent Media had made a national name for itself in the wedding industry, and I knew then that our success would open doors for new opportunities.

Optimistically, I partnered with StoryBrand’s founder, Donald Miller, and trained my entire team as StoryBrand Guides. We applied StoryBrand to our work and became content marketing experts with skills that transferred across all industries. As our reputation grew, our mission started to expand.

Suddenly, business leaders from all over the country were coming to us to help them grow, and I was able to hire a team

This name change included a new company logo and a complete brand redesign, which is now reflected on our website and on all of our promotional and marketing materials. Our move came after months of praying and planning, and we are all so optimistic about the change.

Although everything about our agency feels fresh and new, I want to assure you that our team still operates by the same 4 core values of Excellence, Integrity, Entrepreneurship and Communication, and that our commitment to our customers has not changed.

Curious about how our new company vision and mission can benefit your business? Now is the perfect time for you to find out! Schedule a call with us to learn about how our new “Annual Marketing Strategy” initiative will give you a crystal clear plan for how you can impact your world for good.

‘Oh, taste and see that the Lord is good; blessed is the man who trusts in Him!’ Psalm 34:8
