STEM Club
In Year 8 STEM club they have been upgrading the small wormery that is set up in the Junior Biology Lab. After Christmas they noticed that liquid had built up in the wormery, and that the container needed draining. It was time to don the marigolds, empty out the wormery and drill holes in the bottom to allow the liquid to drain out. Thankfully the worms were OK! The liquid can be collected and is an excellent fertiliser, so hopefully they will be able to collect some over the coming weeks and then design an investigation to see if the liquid improves plant growth.
