The Covered Netball Courts

The Cabin

We are excited to be adding an all-weather canopy to our pre-existing netball courts which will be ready for use next term! This will give us 3 additional Netball courts that will available for use all year-round.

In September, we officially opened The Cabin as an additional Sports Facility to accommodate our Grove sports spectators, sports and external sports teams for a variety of different functions.

The cover makes it possible to play Netball outdoors safely in all weather conditions, meaning teams won't have to sacrifice sessions due to winter weather.

The facility consists of:

Hirer packages include discounted rates for multi-court bookings. We are now taking bookings for February onwards. We can't wait to accommodate even more Netball at WGS, giving more teams a venue to train and host matches.

Catering Manager, Mr Caroleo, said, “We are delighted at how well this service has been received. We have had plans to offer a modern catering facility for spectators for some time, so to see this come to fruition has been very satisfying.”

Sixth Form Centre Development on our state-of-the-art Sixth Form Centre is well underway!

Elements of the space will have a much more corporate feel, preparing our students for life after Woodhouse Grove.

The facility is expected to be open and will be available for use by the end of February 2024.

It will meet the needs of all our students, supporting our vision of a forwardthinking Pathways Programme. We are extremely excited to launch this space as it has some fantastic amenities, such as: •

Seminar rooms for Business Partners to deliver career talks.

•

Increased space for individual and collaborative working.

•

Integrated technology for the live streaming of topical issues.
