Reception enjoyed a fun PE lesson with Mr Wa- Year 5 have been busy investigating thermal insulators this week in their science lessons. terhouse working on their ball skills!

This week, Year 1 spent the morning visiting Cartwright Hall. They further investigated the work of celebrated artist LS Lowry.

Year 1 enjoyed a creative Outdoor Learning lesson this week. They used natural materials to create self-portraits and the results were quite impressive!

Unfortunately, our Year 5 and 6 football fixtures were cancelled this week, but the time was put to good use and the children headed down to The Grove to play an impromptu 6-team tournament on Rawdon Meadows. A great afternoon across the board!

Our Under 11 team played an amazing game of netball against a Year 7 team, on tour from Scotland. Mrs Couzens couldn’t be prouder of On Friday, Year 4 took full advantage of a sunny the way the girls held their own and got stuck afternoon and went on a leaf scavenger hunt. in. This week, some of our runners spent a great afternoon at Barlborough Hall. We had bronze, silver and gold medal winners, as well as a good number of children placing highly in their races.

This week, the Knitwits have completed their latest project. They have made lovely colourful hearts for Valentine’s Day next week!

Last week, the children were treated to hot dogs and chips, a disco that involved lots of great dancing and goodies, by our ABA. Another very enjoyable evening for the children, thank you!
