Thank you to everyone who donated to our poppy appeal - we raised £515.73. We have also raised £775.59 for Save The Children through our nativities, carol concert and xmas jumper day. Thank you. All the Fun at the Fayre Thanks to everyone who supported our Christmas Fayre last Saturday. A fantastic event with music, Christmas food and lots of fun stalls. Thanks to the ABA for organising such a festive event.
Brontë Trips Reception had a fabulous time watching Freckle Productions’ delightful adaptation of Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler’s Stick Man at West Yorkshire playhouse.
Year 2 got very involved on their trip to the Fireground Museum which tells the story of firefighting in the Greater Manchester area where the first municipal fire service was formed in 1826.
A morning jog becomes quite the misadventure for Stick Man; a dog wants to play fetch with him, a swan builds a nest with him, and he even ends up on a fire!
Snow White and the 7 Dwarfs Year 1 and Year 2 had a great time at Bradford Playhouse watching Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs—putting them in the Christmas panto spirit!
Christmas Nativities
This week, in Clay Creations Club the Wow! Our Ashdown Lodge and Key Stage 1 children have been getting into the nativities were fantastic! We hope you all Christmas spirit and sculpting Christmas enjoyed them. You can see more photos in gingerbread houses in clay with lots of intricate details. our Brontë Christmas album on flickr.
Year 3 and 4 Art Club have been busy adding sequins and sparkles to their Christmas windows.
Year 3 have worked very hard and were delighted with their Egyptian artwork.
In Maths Club last week the children enjoyed playing lots of different maths games and solving the magic triangle puzzles. They even made a shop and used the money to buy and sell fruit!
In Year 4 DT, the children added the final touches to their Tudor House models.
Year 5 visited the Grove's DT department to design and make some Christmas decorations. They learnt about CAD and CAM. A great time was had by all.
Year 6 ended 2022 with some seasonal circuitry! They had great fun designing quizzes and testing them out on staff and children.
