New School Adjustments!!!

Our school is currently working on an exciting improvement to the campus by bullying a new learning facility The new building will provide dedicated classrooms for Mandarin, Music, and Art These subjects are important because they help students develop creativity, cultural understanding, and new skills beyond regular academic lessons. With modern classrooms and better resources, students will have more opportunities to explore

Only two weeks of school left!!!
Week 7 is closing off, with week 8 and 9 coming in very close, and with the term holiday tagging along. Woodford will be finishing off the school term with exciting events and thrilling news, you will find details about these in this week’s issue.

At the same time, construction is also taking place at the Makers space It has been a rainy season past weeks, and the school leadership board has taken initiative in handling the matter New roofings are being installed alongside the maker's space and bathrooms. This area is being improved so students can walk freely alongside the breezeway without getting soaked whenever it starts raining. The upgrades will also help reduce slippery surfaces, protect learning spaces, and ensure safer, more comfortable movement for students and teachers during heavy rain seasons.
Overall, these developments show our school’s commitment to improving facilities and giving students better learning opportunities. Once the construction is finished which should be by early term 2, the new spaces will help make learning more engaging, creative, and enjoyable for everyone.
Sanitary pads now in girls bathroom

Thanks to the student council, free sanitary pads are now available in the girls bathroom, bringing positive news for young girls in secondary school
Many young girls have experienced the challenge of getting unexpected periods during class or forgetting to bring their own from home. Although the school sick bay office does provide pads when needed, girls face the issue of having to walk
Walk all the way to the office just to ask for them. Sometimes the nurse of other staff members are not available, which can cause girls to wait and waste valuable class time
To help solve the issue, the student council has arranged for emergency sanitary pads to be placed directly in the girls bathroom. These pads are intended for emergency use only. This initiative aims to save time , support girls during unexpected situations, and ensure that young girls are safe,
Comfortable, and respected while at school. It is important to note that these pads are intended for emergencies only Students are still encouraged to bring their own sanitary products to school whenever possible
The availability of emergency pads ensure young girls that they don’t have to feel uncomfortable, unsecured, or unsupported during the school day.

Secondary Camp:

Secondary school camp is coming up soon! The camp will take place on the final week of school, from Wednesday 18th March to Friday 20th March. This year camp will be held on sites from the east side, instead of sites from the west side where it has always been held. All students are encouraged to start preparing and ensure that their camp payments are completed on time. The final day to pay is on Friday, 13th March.

The drum has special news, a new feature called “teacher of the week” is now in place. In every issue, we will highlight one teacher from our school and recognize their hard work, dedication, and positive impacts on students.
