GOLF, HAPPINESS & WELL-BEING

National Golf Month & National Happiness Happens Month

BY KRISTINE ROBERSON MEMBERSHIP DIRECTOR

As we move through the heart of summer, August offers us two great reminders: it’s National Golf Month and also Happiness Happens Month. Both themes feel especially fitting here at Woodbridge, where we’re lucky to have more ways than ever to stay active, connect with community, and find joy in motion.

Whether you're walking nine holes at sunset, rallying on the tennis or pickleball courts, swimming laps, or stepping into the Fitness Center for strength and recovery—you're investing in your long-term wellness. And that’s something to celebrate.

Golf in particular is known for its unique combination of mindfulness, movement, and social connection. It’s no wonder research continues to support its positive effects on both physical and mental health— including heart health, balance, mood, and even longevity. If you’ve been looking for a sign to get back into the game (or to give it a try), this is it.

As a certified wellness professional, I can confidently say: when joy and movement go hand-in-hand, real transformation happens. And you don’t have to overhaul your lifestyle to benefit—just making time each week for activities you enjoy at the Club is a powerful act of self-care.

Not a Golf Member yet? August is the perfect time to upgrade your membership and start enjoying all the wellness benefits of the game.

Still on a Dining Membership? Step into a healthier lifestyle with a Sports Membership upgrade—you’ll gain full access to tennis, pickleball, swim, and fitness.

Feeling the happiness? Share the joy—refer a friend to join the Club this month and help them find their own wellness routine at Woodbridge.

So this month, I invite you to ask yourself: “What would make me feel healthier and happier right now?”

Then say yes to it.

See you on the course, in the gym, or swinging at the courts.
