President Anna Stavdal recently delivered the keynote address at the Spring Conference of the Taiwan Association of Family Medicine (TAFM) held at the National ChengKungUniversityCollegeofMedicinein TainanonMarch11thand12th
During her visit, she also participated in a session with young doctors of TAFM to exchange ideas and engage with future Taiwanese family doctors President Stavdal wasgivenatouroftheDepartmentofFamily Medicine, which provided valuable insights into the work being done in this field in Taiwan
Prior to the conference, the President met with Dr Jui-Yuan Hsueh, the Minister of Health, and Dr Pi-Sheng Wang, the Deputy Minister of Health The meeting focused on critical topics such as the recruitment, training, and retention of family doctors in Taiwan


Inadditiontotheconference,theTaiwanese hosts organized a three-day program, including visits to the Taipei University Hospital and the Department of Family Medicine. WONCA President was also introduced to the United Safety Medical Group and received an introduction to Taiwanese history and culture Notably, she metwithseveralprominentleadersinpublic healthandfamilymedicineinTaiwan,which wasavaluablenetworkingopportunity
