During her speech, Dr Stavdal underscored the unparalleled significance of global solidarityamongfamilydoctorsandstressed the imperative of integrating research and practice in family medicine to prevent fragmentation

The opening ceremony included the first keynote lecture of the conferences, titled "Preparing for the future: resetting public healthatthecoreofourhealthcaresystem," delivered by Frank Vandenbroucke, Belgium’sMinisterofSocialAffairsandPublic Health.

The event was enriched by the notable presence of various distinguished participants, including Cassian Minguet, member of the Host Organizing Committee, as well as Aurore Girard and Ann Van den Bruel, Chairs of the Host Organizing Committee, Jeroen Van den Brandt, Chair of the Belgian Society for General Practitioners/Family Physicians (BSGP), and Prof Shlomo Vinker, President of WONCA Europe
