FREE ACCESS CONCESSIONS ANNOUNCED

The annual meeting of Education for Primary Care,ouraffiliatedWONCAjournal,tookplacelast week.DrVictorNg,ChairoftheWONCAEducation Working Party is on the Editorial Board joined virtually.

The publishers, Taylor and Francis, reported good and steady progress as paper views and downloads increase, international submissions rise and there is evidence of impact. This is so important as, to address the shortfall of Family MedicineDoctors,theroleofEducationinPrimary Care in workforce development becomes of paramountimportance.

A webinar series organized by WONCA Working Party on Research under the title “Family Medicine and Primary Health Care Development AroundtheWorld" ,from2022to2023. This webinar series served as a platform for sharing information on how Family Physicians/General Practitioners and primary health care systems function in countries with different contexts and developments. To understand the core functions of primary care (comprehensiveness, coordination, continuity, access), in this first session, we are going to present a case with multi-morbid conditions with acute and chronic issues to manage and learn how the case is managed in 4 countries: South Africa,Japan,MyanmarandThailand. This session also allows the audience to participate in the discussion, an opportunity to learn and adopt new ideas to improve the system ineachcountry.
