Women Win: Tell Our Viewers in your own words- who you are and how you help Women Win!

Brittany: Hey Queens! My name is Brittany Cribbs, and I’m the Founder and Inventor of Cloud 9 Easy Go. My business specializes in luxury accessories for on-the-go lifestyles. Our signature item is my invention – a portable memory foam seat cushion designed to be YOUR companion that adapts to fit the needs of YOUR lifestyle! I’m passionate about helping women win because I’ve had so many phenomenal women uplift and pour into me throughout my life and on this entrepreneurial journey. My hope is that I can help women avoid some of the headaches and heartaches that I experienced by sharing my journey and the lessons that I learned along the way. Specifically, I help Black women inventors who need help jumpstarting the process of patenting their intellectual property. I know firsthand how intimidating this process can be, so I provide guidance on the steps needed when considering filing for a patent.

Women Win: Tell our readers how you got into the business and Why it was important for you to do so.

Brittany: I came up with the idea for my portable memory seat cushion in 2016 after being on a long, miserable 10-hour flight. The seats on the plane were so uncomfortable that it made the entire flight experience unpleasant. After that flight, I started researching different types of cushions that I could take on future trips, and after 2 to 3 weeks of searching, I realized that the cushion that I was looking for didn’t exist, so I decided to invent it! I realized at that point that if I had this terrible flight experience, there has to be many other people experiencing the same discomfort. That is when I decided to pursue a business with my seat cushion.

Women Win: What was the pivotal changing moment for you? What made you say- I CAN & I WILL! as a businesswoman.

Brittany: There wasn’t so much of a pivotal moment for me. It was just the realization that over the years, I’ve had so many setbacks and disappointments – many times where I was one thought away from giving up – but each time, something external to me happened, kind of like a sign from God/The Universe that I was on the right path. Each time that I was at my lowest, there was a person or opportunity that came along that breathed new motivation and life into me and my business. I truly believe that each one of us was put on this Earth with a life purpose, and when you are willing to be guided on your true path and persevere, despite how difficult it gets at times, you will ultimately realize that purpose. The key is to not give up.

Women Win: Tell our readers about your upcoming projects. How will your upcoming projects/ventures impact you & other women for the Better?

Brittany: I have some BIG goals for 2022! Winning America's Big Deal" really opened up some exciting opportunities for my business, Cloud 9 Easy Go! This year you can expect to see us debut on QVC/HSN, and in addition to that, my goal is to start establishing licensing deals with sports entities such as NFL, MLB, NCAA, etc. We are also planning to get involved with more philanthropic projects. Some of those projects are already in the works with non-profit organizations that hold significant meaning to me and are close to my heart.

Women Win: None of us can do it Alone! Give a Shout Out to another Queen who helped you become the Woman You Are Today!? This could be your Mom, Previous Employer, a Good Friend, or a Queen you admire from a far.

Brittany: Wow... There are so many amazing women who have been an integral part of my journey, but there are a few women, who without them, I, quite frankly, would not be where I am today. First, and foremost, my Aunt Che. This woman is my role model, my confidant, and my biggest supporter. She has been by my side -- literally from the time I was born -- holding my hand, wiping my tears, and cheering me on. She is my Earth Angel and words can't express my love for her. My Granny, Elaine, who raised me to be the strong, resilient woman I am today. My Mentor McKieva, who in the short time that we've known each other has made an impact in my life that I never could have imagined. And my mom, Donna, who taught me what unconditional love truly is.

Women Win: What's next for You? Any Upcoming projects- Queens should be on the lookout for you!?

Women Win: What is the BEST Advice You were Given as a Black Woman in Life and who gave you that advice? What was the BEST Advice given to you as an Entrepreneur and who gave that advice? How does this help you WIN BIG Now?

Brittany: My Aunt Che taught me that "you have to love your people for who they are, where they are" -- meaning, you can't make anybody change; you can only accept them for who they are and respect where they are on their journey. Sometimes, that means loving them from a distance. My Granny taught me from a young age that "nobody is going to give you anything; if you want something, you have to go get it" and that belief and work ethic is instilled in me. I wasn't born with a "silver spoon" and my Granny made sure that I understood that when I stepped out into the world, I would most likely have to work twice as hard for half the return. She prepared me for the hard times that I inevitably would face by giving me that perspective. And now I can say, I think I understood the assignment...

Women Win: What Advice would you give to an Aspiring EntrepreneurPhilosophical and Practical?

Brittany: The advice that I would give to an aspiring entrepreneur is the life of your dreams is on the other side of your perseverance. It won't be easy. You'll want to give up more times than you can count. You will doubt yourself constantly. But despite it all, persist.

Brittany: I have traveled to more places internationally than I have in the U.S.- I am very professional on the surface but underneath I am a BIG KID with a free-spirited, gypsy heart who loves adventures! Whether that's exploring a new country and learning how the locals live or exploring and playing in the woods in my Granny's backyard with my nephews. Adventures are all around us!

WWN: Favorite Place to Visit & Why?

Brittany: There are so many, it's hard to choose... but, I would say that Playa del Carmen, Mexico is one of my favorite places to getaway. I love to vacation here, because it has the best of ALL worlds. Of course, there are the beautiful tropical beaches for those who came to relax and nightclubs for those who came to turnup (haha), there are shopping malls and big-chain retailers for those who like the comforts of the U.S., hidden local gems that tourists don't usually know about for the one who wants the real experience, and my favorite part is less than two hours away, you can go to Tulum, Mexico, and it feels like you have transported centuries back in time -- there, you can explore Mayan ruins, and for those who like adventures like me, you can go swimming in the beautiful cenotes (flooded caves)! This place definitely has a little piece of my heart, and I plan to buy properties there in the future.

Your God-given vision is the compass for your life

Having a clear vision for your life helps you to run a steady race It helps you to maintain focus when things get tough and enables you to say no to the many distractions along the way

Write your vision down, set smart goals that can be easily put into action and begin to envision the life God has promised! Your vision is a constant reminder that your mission and purpose is much bigger than you.

Use it as a driving force behind everything you do because God’s vision with the right strategy will make you to be unstoppable.

2.Live Life Authentically

The best thing you can be in life is to be your authentic self.

The world is riddled with people trying to be another “somebody” but now is your prime opportunity to be the first “YOU”. You are your own unique superpower and no one, I mean… NO ONE can be you!

Authenticity is refreshing and attractive. It is one of the most powerful traits you can have. Showing up and being yourself is a magnet for attracting the right people and opportunities you need to live your life out loud

Own your accomplishments and be proud of them. You may not have a degree, you may not even have graduated high school but it does not disqualify you from being successful in your own right.

Embrace the journey and thrive in each moment as you begin to write your own story. Stop comparing another person's success to where you are in your journey because you don't know when they would have started or what sacrifices they would have made behind the scenes. Stay focused on what you are doing and see how you can best achieve your own results.

4.Celebrate Your Wins

Many times we are so focused on achieving our goals that we do not take time to value the process and it is easy to miss some magnificent transformations along the way. Celebrating your wins, whether big or small, gives you the momentum for greater fulfillment of your goals and dreams.

When I became an International Bestselling Author, some people could not understand what all the hoorah was about because it was not a solo book. Well, I celebrated and made it all about me as if I had authored it on my own.

It was my win so I kept the most noise.

What looks like small steps to others are huge milestones in your journey and they should be well celebrated. Celebrating your wins validate your hard work and lets people know you are a big deal.

Be comfortable throwing your own parties (until people start to take notice) and don’t let anybody rain on your parade. You deserve it!

5.Build Healthy Relationships

No man is an island!

Despite what you’ve heard, seen or think, you cannot do it all on your own. You should have three kinds of people in your life right now.

Mentors or Coaches to motivate, inspire and encourage you but will not hesitate to give you sound advice or a solid kick in the butt when needed!

Partners/Besties are the people you can run with in life and business. As iron sharpens iron, y a lot from them and they will learn from you as well.

I started MisHandled as my life, my marriage, my health, and the reality of what was unfolding before I wasn't a dream but my truth. The truth only one of us knew, my husband. One question I kept asking myself, " Am I the only married woman going through something this unbelievable?" You don't hear anyone speaking up or sharing such horror stories about what's such a celebrated event. An event where thousands of dollars are spent on glam, a union where two vow and display their love by uniting as one. Not just the two of them but also two families are united. A covenant where children are born forth. Dreams and goals are constructed and achieved. The pivotal moment for me was when I still believed in love, I wanted my husband to have the same drive, love, and desire for the US. And to have the same FAITH, love, and desire for God. "What GOD has put together let no man bring apart." Even if that man is yourself. Disrespect behind my back but when what's done in the dark begins to come to the light. I am in a hard position: choosing my marriage or myself. When the light is shining like a spotlight and disrespect is continuing selfishness is shown and self-respect stands up. Enough of such abuse for me and I picked up the mantle and will be the voice for those women wearing a silent MisHandled mask. I have taken my off and now the voice for my sisters.

Growing up around a powerful monarch as a child I was floored by my grandmother's boldness and grace. When she passed away a few years ago I knew I had to take my position as the "Queen" she had been training me to be. I to had hidden my gifts and talents. Nevertheless, she always would encourage me to go for it. On the other hand, my mother was quieter and a bit nervous. However, she is a prayer warrior and covered me in prayer. So with these two dynamics, I knew had to step out on faith and trust God.

Latest Project

My latest book "What's God Have To Do With It" was a coauthored anthology project. I wrote my story because I felt it was of great importance for people to understand where we would be without God. Everything we have is because God provided and gave it to us. For every storm, God provided the shelter, for every heartbreak God gave you love, for every successful business God provided the vision. The book goes on to share so many other great things about God and all His goodness. I pray that my story breaks emotional chains, builds confidence, and sets people free to be all that God created them to be.

I kept hearing Philippians 4:13 “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." It was the ALL for me, not some, not a few, but ALL. After completing and launching my book Missed Opportunities, I was astonished by the support I received and how so many people shared with me how inspired they were. Some of my readers, returned to school to pursue another degree, some opened their own businesses, and some were encouraged to pivot and make drastic upgrades in their lives through the inspiration from “Missed Opportunities.” I was always approached about advice on many subjects where I was versed, so I decided to make some investments in myself and with the help of a coach, I launched my transformational coaching business along with speaking engagements. I currently do more speaking than one-on-one coaching, but now I’m looking into group coaching to expand my business.

When I think of who I am today, I must mention my Grandmother Lula Irvin, my Mother Inez Coney and my children’s Godmother Clara (Rebe) Hickman. These women beginning with my Grandmother taught me everything from how to keep my home to budgeting. My Grandmother taught me how to pray, which gives me the tool to manage challenges. They are my foundation and the reason why I am as strong as I am today. My determination and consistency comes from my Grandmother. My work ethic I inherited from my Mother. I witnessed her work tirelessly to support our family. She's 93 years old and still going strong. My children’s Godmother is a 40-year breast cancer survivor. She still ministers to me. She is a true gem. I take nothing for granted, as I know how blessed I am to have them as my foundation. I stand on solid ground.

Missed Opportunities speaks about several opportunities I missed along with others who gave me permission to share their stories. I evaluated why I was missing opportunities, including having fear that I wouldn’t get the support, or listening to others feed me their negative energy. Once I recognized the blockers, I included these blockers in my book to help others recognize them and avoid them at all cost. It would be extremely hard to read my book and not come away inspired and ready to adjust your mindset to set and accomplish your goals. My pivotal changing moment, is when I made my first lace frontal wig and she turned out gorgeous! I knew at that moment, that I was ready to pursue my dreams of owning my own beauty supply store. I started to do research to find hair vendors, I became a member of different hair groups. The women and men in these groups were very encouraging. It took me several months but I finally prayed and stepped out on faith and applied for my LLC, Dunn number and EIN number. I jumped in head 1st, started a website, business pages, the whole nine.

Ron's Creative Mind LLC is an interior decorating business. I decorate, organize and declutter my client's homes. I also design flower centerpiece vase sets for any table setting. And wedding bouquets.. 2019 my son who is diagnosed with Cerebral palsy fell extremely sick I had to step down to take care of him... While he was in hospital I decided to put myself in interior decorating school to keep my mind busy. It's a story of my life story of how I overcame being raped, abused, suicidal and etc. I went through hell and back but I've overcome victoriously. So I made the decision to step down from my 9-5 as a CNA working with Alzheimer's patients.. which I loved but I knew it was time to move on, so I can be home with my baby... Once was Broken Now Healed is currently the only book I'm in the process of writing my second book is called six months to live. I want my readers to know in order to be free and heal from your past hurt you must forgive. The readers will be impacted and inspired by my life story because, in the end, they would never think of a person who has been through rap, molested, bullied, abused, and survived three suicidal attempts. They wouldn't ever think I would have survived. My story will give my readers hope that they can survive their own storms.

Why Now

There is no time like the present! Far too often w waste time thinking we're not good enough or w don't have enough resources (whether time, money, support, education, etc.) or we have to w until our kids are grown. We often minimize our talents and skills trying to fit into societal standards or to live up to the expectations of OTHER people and whom they think we should be. We cannot waste another second with any of these excuses any longer because the fact of the matter is that NO ONE IS PROMISED TOMORROW! Period!

We must utilize our gifts and talents NOW! We can do great things alone, but we can do phenomenal things together and go so much further faster! When women are operating at their maximum capabilities, the masses know and positively feel it!

My mother has hands down helped me become the woman I am today. She has always supported any and everything I've ever wanted to do from the time I can remember.

When I was young, she allowed me to pretend play and enact my shenanigans all over the house. She was at every performance or game or event I had. She has always been supportive of my dreams, and she doesn't hesitate to brag about my accomplishments - no matter how big or small. To this day, she remains to be my number one fan! Over the years, I've watched her work hard to provide me with the world. So, I won't stop striving for excellence until I provide her with the universe! I love you, Mom!

I am Jovana M. Pullings, the owner and Founder of Divine Hands by J, LLC & Wellness Advocate. I encourage and inspire women to walk in their Divine Purpose. My Business is a Natural Skincare Business, My passion for Natural Skincare began when I started my Natural Journey 3 years ago. Being Natural has allowed me to become more knowledgeable about being health conscious and in choosing to be healthy I decided to create my own Natural Skincare Products after having a Skin Irritation reaction by me unknowingly wearing latex gloves. I had to replenish my own skin, After seeing that the products that I created were effective. I knew at the moment that I had a product that would sell. I then Created a Name for my business Divine Hands By J, which I launched on June 19, 2020. God gave me the vision and my goal is to become an International Skincare business while creating Generational Wealth.

Defining Moment

The pivotal changing moment for myself was January of 2020. I lost my job, and right afterwards the pandemic hit. The World was on “Shut Down” due to the pandemic. At that moment to didn't realize God was setting me up for the next Chapter of my life. I then began to start actively researching Natural skincare and the ingredients to create products that were effective and beneficial for all skin types. Once I saw that my products were effective I knew I had a life changing moment for myself and my children I then became a founder and owner of Divine Hands By J I knew there was no turning back and not only was I helping myself and my children but I was also encouraging and educating people as well by helping them become healthier Health is Wealth!

I would like to give a Shout out to my Mom As a child being brought up in Church and still being a spiritual woman who puts God first in my life. I was always taught to seek God and know that All things are possible as long as I believe I can achieve. She instilled in me Determination. My mom is one of my biggest cheerleaders. I would also like to shout out my Business coach/ mentor Che Craig She inspires me, motivates me, and prays for me. She pushes me out of my comfort zone and I am truly grateful that God has aligned us on each other's path Both of these women are truly a blessing in my life

I am in the process of writing my first self-publishing book, which I am super excited about. My purpose for writing my book is to help women and men know that they are not alone and they are deserving of Real Love. Self Love is top tier and to always put Self first.

I am currently working on creating products to launch for my Spring Collection. I am taking Natural Skincare to the next level. Because I am a Creator, Creating High-Quality products that are effective for women and men and for all skin types that are beneficial is always the goal. And is the Founder/CEO of Broken to Heal Women Center, which is a 501c3 organization that acts as a safe haven for sexual assaulted/abused women, located in 2 states; Mississippi and Alabama. The organization’s reasoning for forming is because of the overcoming testimony of Dr. Green once being a recipient of the services of a women's center after being raped, shot, and left for dead in 1995 at the age of 19. Many use the services offered by Broken to Heal Women Center, ranging from counseling and a safe shelter from abuse. And these services are available for men, women, and children.

As you see, Dr. Green has a great task before her daily with the operations of the nonprofit organizations that entrusts her as Senior Leader/Chief Executive Officer.
