Get to know your ErP labels

The Energy Related Products (ErP) directive is an EU regulation that affects certain heating devices, water heating and storage products. Each qualifying product requires an energy label.

This allows consumers to compare the efficiency of products using a common and easy-to-understand graphic and encourages them to buy more efficient products. It also gives you the opportunity to ‘upsell’ products that increase the energy rating and efficiency of the system. All products in this guide have their ErP rating stated (where applicable). Aquarius under-sink water heater

Ideal for installations where power supply may be limited such as portable and temporary buildings. These units can be supplied by a cold water cistern. The base of the cistern must be no higher than 10 metres maximum above the heater and a vent pipe must be used.

Aqualine unvented water heater

Includes a TMV2 thermostatic blending valve allowing water to be stored at a high temperature and dispense at hand wash temperature. Water stored above 60°C considerably reduces the possibility of harbouring bacteria, making Aqualine the ideal product where ‘safe’ hot water is required - for example schools, nursing homes and nurseries.

XXXXXX Water heating Accessories

A wide range of accessories is available for use with Heatrae Sadia’s point-of-use water heaters. Only the vented (open-outlet) taps, mixers and spout must be used with a vented water heater.

Kits

Kit A – Expansion vessel and non-return valve: The expansion vessel prevents any build-up of pressure within the domestic hot water system, while the non-return valve stops any backflow of hot water into the cold water main.

Kit B – 3.5 bar pressure reducing valve: The maximum cold water inlet pressure designed for the Andris unit is 3.5 bar. Therefore, this pressure reducing valve controls the water to not exceed this limit.

Kit C – Discharge tundish:

In the event the hot water system over pressurises, water is discharged via the 6 bar pressure relief valve and the tundish visually indicates a discharge is occurring.
