Je suis comme je suis

I am what I am

I am what I am I am made that way When I want to laugh Yes I laugh right out loud I love the one who loves me Is it my fault If it's not the same one That I love each time I am what I am I am made that way What more do you want What do you want from me

I am made for pleasure And nothing can change that My heels are too high My figure too curved My breasts way too firm And my eyes too darkly ringed And then afterwards What can you do about it I am what I am I please who I please

What can you do about it About what happened to me Yes I did love someone Yes someone did love me Like children love each other Simply know how to love Love love... Why question me I am here to please you And nothing can change that. Jacques Prévert

Il pleure dans mon cœur

It cries in my heart

It cries in my heart As it rains on the town What is this languor That soaks in my heart?

Oh sweet sound of the rain On the ground and the roofs! For a heart growing weary, Oh the song of the rain!

Quoi ! nulle trahison? Ce deuil est sans raison.

It cries for no reason In this disheartened heart What? No treason? ... There's no reason for this mourning.

By far the worst pain, Is to not know why Without love and hatred My heart feels so much pain. Paul Verlaine

Le ciel est par-dessus le toit

The sky above the roof

The sky above the roof, So blue, so calm! A tree, above the roof, Waves its crown.

The bell, in the sky I see, Gently rings. A bird, on the tree I see, Sings his complaint.

My God, my God, life is here Simple and serene. That peaceful rumor there Comes from the town.

What have you done, o you Weeping incessantly, Say, what have you done, oh you With all your youth? Paul Verlaine

Płakała Zapałka Płakała Zapałka Zapałka płakała Wokół tylko mróz i pustka. Pragnęła Zapałka Zapałka pragnęła, by ktoś ją zapalił, obdarzył ciepłem do życia. Zapałka bez zapału To żadna zapałka, pomyślała. W całości zatopiona w płomieniach, Próbowała dopłynąć do brzegu lodu. Po kilku wiecznych sekundach, Zapałka nie przeżyła.

A Crying Match A crying Match, A Match was crying, Surrounded by only frost and emptiness. A yearning Match, A Match was yearning To be lit up And given warmth in life. A match without fire Is no match at all, it thought. It was waiting, and waiting But after a long eternity, its ray of hope had slowly died down. Until one morning, a spark came out of nowhere, Bursting with energy and life of a full summer. Something had sparked between the two, And the small Match became a big fire! It warmed up for good, beaming like the sun And drowning in happiness. The Match was finally feeling fulfilled. But this heat quickly turned into a fever. And the smoke filled its small heart - I’m suffocating..., it barely wheezed. Little did it know, how love Can be so brief and then destroy. Entirely drowning in flames, It tried swimming to the icy shore. After a few seconds that seemed an eternity, The Match was no more. Ania Vu

Dokąd on tak goni? Czemu on nas goni, …tak nietaktownie? Teraz chwila ta Czułe spojrzenia twe I niesłychane mi dotąd wyznania Znikną!

As if nothing As if nothing had happened Clock is ticking Time is running Nothing returns It’s running again, It does not look back It keeps rushing the whole time Tick-tock Always like that But where to? Where is it rushing to? Why is it rushing us, …so untactfully? Now this very moment Your tender gaze And unheard of confessions Will vanish! Just like that In five thousand years The clocks will cease ticking But time will still be running Tik-tak Tik-tak… In a way, as if nothing had happened. Ania Vu
