Transport
A large number of Woldingham students and staff travel to school by train each day. We foster a sense of community and our older students keep an eye on and assist the younger girls if needed. When students arrive at Woldingham station in the morning there is always a member of staff on hand to escort them safely and efficiently onto our minibuses. Our Transport Manager is kept informed of any train issues and will be aware of delays and cancellations. We suggest students have the school phone number - 01883 349431 - saved on their phone in case they are late for some unforeseen reason. They can call reception to arrange a minibus to pick them up from the station. Students should not walk to school from the station. Students who are late must sign in at reception before going to lessons.
Shuttle buses meet trains arriving between 07:30 and 08:20. They also take students to the station after school, picking up from Marden and the Millennium Centre between 16:00-18:45. Shuttle buses can be organised for other times, within school hours, by arrangement with year group staff. We ask for 48 hours’ notice, where possible. If, unavoidably, a shuttle is needed at short notice, please call reception who will be able to assist. Please do allow a minimum of 30 minutes.
Station shuttles for Saturday fixtures and events are pre-arranged by the school. In the unlikely event that a minibus isn’t at the station to meet your daughter on arrival, please call Sandra Amaro, one of our school drivers, on 07920 834813. Mrs Amaro is available on Saturdays between 07:00-14:00.
We offer a taxi booking service for parents to help manage the arrival and departure of your daughters. This is available via a web link on the Parent Portal app/website.
Taxis get booked up well in advance, particularly at half term and at the end of term. Please try to give plenty of notice for taxi bookings.
Buses run from: Banstead, Caterham, Kingswood, Reigate, Purley, Kenley, Edenbridge, Crockham Hill, Hayes, Keston, Hildenborough, Tonbridge and Sevenoaks. A place on the school bus can be booked with the transport team, 01883 654154, transport@woldinghamschool.co.uk. Traffic and roadworks are regularly reviewed, which may alter pick up points/timings as necessary. Parents are advised of any resulting alterations.
These routes can also be booked on an ad-hoc basis, subject to availability.

The school requires one full term’s notice of any change to your transport booking. In particular, please give advance warning of Sixth Formers who are learning to drive and are likely to cease using school transport once they pass their test and have a car.
Please direct all transport enquiries to the transport team, email: transport@woldinghamschool.co.uk, tel: 01883 654154.
The following terms and conditions apply to the provision of the transport service. Parents should be aware that these will apply on receipt of the acceptance of their daughter’s place on the scheme.
a) The school does not guarantee to provide transport for your daughter(s) upon application. However, every effort will be made to satisfy parents’ requests.
b) Provision of transport services and/or routes will be conditional upon passenger interest and cost-effectiveness to the school. The school reserves the right to alter or delete routes, pick up and drop down points by giving appropriate notice to parents.
c) The school reserves the right to alter the pricing for any route by giving appropriate notice to parents.
d) The school may operate a waiting list for any transport route. In the event that a waiting list is necessary, siblings of students already using transport will be given priority for a place on such transport.
e) Transport will be allocated on a termly basis. The termly transport fee is payable in advance. If fees are not received on the first day of term, then your daughter(s) will not be permitted to use the transport and her/their place(s) may be reallocated.
f) One clear term’s notice is required to withdraw from using transport otherwise the appropriate cost will be charged.
g) Services will be planned to arrive at the school at 08:20 each morning (Monday to Friday) and to depart from the school according to the transport schedule. Timings may vary on the Friday evening of a long weekend, on the last evening before half term and on the last day of term. Parents and students will be advised of the changes by email.
h) Times indicated are departure times from allocated pick-up/drop down points. Drivers are not permitted to wait beyond their allocated time to pick-up students.
i) Safety and security of students until the time of pick up and from the moment of setting down will remain a parental responsibility.
