I have been active as a leading figure within the company for more than thirty years now and with my team and my dependable partners am in a position to look back at the successes it has achieved. At the same time, it is also clear that a very promising and auspicious future lies ahead.

2016 feiert Scheucher-Parkett somit das 20-Jahre-Jubiläum als Parkett-Anbieter: „Eigentlich kann ich gar nicht glauben, dass die Zeit so schnell vergangen ist“, schmunzelt Karl Scheucher und blickt über das Betriebsgelände, wo das letzte Licht des Tages auf die vor Kurzem erweiterte Logistikhalle fällt.

As Karl Scheucher himself recalls, “I was always milling about in the workshop, even as a small boy – I grew up with the aroma of wood in my nostrils and fell in love with wood from a very early age.” In the 1970s and 1980s, the company continued its expansion under the leadership of Karl Scheucher senior, and in 1985, under the leadership of Karl Scheucher himself, commenced the production of solid wood panels. The production of multi-layered parquet flooring then followed from 1996 onwards.

FROM THE FOREST ONTO OUR FLOORS This is one principle that Scheucher has subscribed to for years and forms the reason why the company sets about creating sumptuous wood finishes in a multitude of shades and tints from a sand colour that is almost white, to an airy light brown and to tones of dark chocolate or shades of black. To that end, the parquet designers at Scheucher successfully produce sublime creations, in which the interplay of colours, selections and finishes enchants the beholder, again and again.

WOOD IS WHAT MAKES OUR HEARTS SKIP A BEAT Wood is an absolutely brilliant material to work with. For many generations now, the Scheucher family has had wood “in its blood” and for almost a century has successfully produced impressive products.

As Karl Scheucher himself puts it: “For me, the forest not only provides the raw materials for our business, but it is also a space in which people live and spend their recreation time, so it is essential that we treat it with respect!”

SUSTAINABLE USE: IT’S ECO-LOGICAL! For Scheucher, the forest is the company’s partner. Official confirmation of this is the EPD certificate issued by the Austrian Institute for Construction and the Environment (Institut Bauen und Umwelt), which is evidence of the fact that Scheucher flooring is produced in a manner that makes optimum use of environmentally sustainable methods and materials that emit the smallest possible quantities of harmful substances. What is more, Scheucher also heats its buildings using wood residues and even sells any excess wood in the form of wood chippings or briquettes.

Seit 2002 ist Scheucher Lizenznehmer des marktführenden Verriegelungssystems NOVOLOC ®, mit dem einzelne Dielen einfach nur ineinander „geloct“, anstatt mit Leim verklebt zu werden. Der überzeugende Zusatznutzen: Die Dielenreihen richten sich dabei selbst gerade aus – ein enormer Vorteil für das bodenlegende Gewerbe.

Mit der Stairbox führte Scheucher 2012 ein technisch ausgereiftes System ein, mit dessen Hilfe das digitale Ausmessen von Stiegen und Treppenaufgängen ganz einfach gelingt. Das Geniale: Durch die Datenübermittlung ab Baustelle sind montagefertige Parkettelemente direkt bei Scheucher ohne jeglichen Zeitverlust oder Zusatzaufwand zu beziehen.

BILAFLOR: 2-SCHICHT-FERTIGPARKETT 2005 optimierte Scheucher seine Sortimentskompetenz gegenüber dem Fachhandel und vereinte mit BILAflor die Vorteile von Klebeparkett mit jenen des Fertigparketts – die Gesamtstärke von 11 mm bietet ideale Anbindungsmöglichkeiten. NOVOLOC®: PLUG-AND-READY Since the year 2002, Scheucher has been a licensee of NOVOLOC®, a leading locking system that enables individual panels to be “interlocked”, instead of being glued together. The unique additional benefit that this system provides is that it makes the panels self-aligning, which represents a substantial added value in the flooring industry.

In 2005, Scheucher optimised the range of products it supplies to specialist retailers, bringing together the benefits of glued parquet with those of ready-to-lay parquet in the form of BILAflor. Its overall strength of 11 mm is ideal for jointing. It is also impressive due to its waterproof glued laying method, the absence of detachment lines at joints that is achieved by sealing the individual joins, and the dust-and sanding-free laying method, thanks to the high-quality finished surfaces and their very long service-life.

Launched by Scheucher in 2012, the Stairbox is a fully-developed technical system that enables steps and staircases to be measured out digitally, making the job extremely simple. And the great thing is that as the data is transferred from the construction site, finished parquet elements can be obtained from Scheucher immediately without any delay or additional effort. This is just one of the additional services that Scheucher is able to provide to its customers.
