There are many options you can choose when you need to make decisions about further education and careers. Sometimes it can be hard to know where to start. Wodonga TAFE provides various different services to help you work out which course you want to study, and also help you while you are completing your studies.

Pathways Program The Pathways Program assists students to access the resources they need and develop the skills and knowledge to help them move smoothly through their education and into the workforce.

Pathway opportunities from secondary school to TAFE Did you know there are direct pathways from your senior secondary school studies into a course at Wodonga TAFE?

Completing a Vocational Education and Training (VET) course while still at secondary school provides you with valuable learning and experience that can lead to employment and further study after Year 12. If you have successfully completed a VET course at school you may be eligible for credit which could shorten the length of your studies with Wodonga TAFE.

Pathways to university Complete your diploma or advanced diploma and turn it into a degree!

Careerdirect is a pathway program where Wodonga TAFE’s formal partnerships with universities ensure you can move seamlessly from TAFE to Uni! If your course isn’t part of the careerdirect program, don’t worry, as many more of our courses may offer credit into other university degrees – it just depends on the course and the university.

Stepping through TAFE to university with your study provides you with a great education and career pathway that offers you many entry and exit points, so you can study and then enter the workforce with work-ready skills. It’s a great way for you to diversify and increase your career opportunities, and it opens doors to great options such as working in your field with your TAFE qualification while you earn your degree at university.

VCAL (Victorian Certificate of Applied Learning) As an accredited secondary certificate issued by the Victorian Curriculum Assessment authority, VCAL focuses on careers-based ‘hands-on learning’. VCAL gives you practical work-related experience, as well as literacy and numeracy skills and the opportunity to build personal skills that are important for life and work. VCAL is designed to provide flexible pathways as you transition from school to further education and employment.
