So what are your options at TAFE ?
You might prefer to study both ONLINE and ON-CAMPUS, to help fit in with your life and other commitments!
Maybe you are LOOKING TO FINISH SCHOOL but mainstream isn’t for you? Maybe the COST is holding you back? Then you need VCAL (see page 25)! Complete your secondary school qual and study amongst like-minded classmates. Your teachers will help you to achieve the best you can be and you will have the chance to experience a number of industries to help you make a decision about where you would like to work.
You might be interested in STUDYING AT UNIVERSITY? But might need some extra preparation.
It’s what we call blended! That’s a mixture of your course materials being online and then you coming on-campus to attend essential workshops. Have a look through the guide and look next to the course name for those that are delivered via BLENDED LEARNING. This might help you to organise your study around your other commitments, and lets you plan ahead when you know a workshop is scheduled - so you can sort out work, who can look after the kids, or look for a substitute for your sporting team.

We offer a range of courses that you can complete as part of a traineeship or apprenticeship. You will need to be employed in order to complete your training this way as your employer is the key contact with Wodonga TAFE. With a pre-app this is a way for you to study a course to better your chances of obtaining an apprenticeship. It shows you are motivated and you have already completed some really important training so you have skills before you start your apprenticeship.

This course requires you to have prior knowledge in the sector, and, upon successful completion, can lead to specialist diploma-level studies. Certificate III in Arboriculture AHC30810 ON-CAMPUS, 12-36 MONTHS A career involving physical strength and fitness, whilst safely and effectively tending to client needs and environmental issues. Developed in consultation with industry, this course will provide you with the skills to gain employment with organisations that need to care for, prune and remove trees. Advanced Diploma of Building Design (Architectural) 22268VIC ON-CAMPUS, 18 MONTHS If you have completed Certificate IV in Building Design Drafting or have extensive industry experience, this course is for you. You will work with designing all components in the construction of residential, commercial and industrial buildings, using CAD, Revit and other programs. Upon successful completion you may find employment opportunities with architects, builders, building designers, building inspectors, or surveyors.
Certificate II in Furniture Making MSF20313 ON-CAMPUS, 13 WEEKS This course provides the skills, knowledge and techniques you require for cabinet making. You will also gain experience in using hand and power tools to build interesting pieces of furniture. You develop the skills involved in reading and using plans to build projects, for example, a hall table or a dining chair.
Certificate IV in NatHERS Assessment CPP41212 BLENDED LEARNING (ONLINE LEARNING MATERIALS AND ON-CAMPUS WORKSHOPS), 12 MONTHS This qualification is designed to meet the needs of assessors operating under the Nationwide House Energy Rating Scheme (NatHERS). You’ll learn how to accurately assess the energy and thermal performance of residential buildings. Skills will be taught in how to read plans, drawings and specifications for buildings, conduct NatHERS assessments, adhere to regulations, assess and advise on thermal performance enhancing and how to collect the NatHERS information for assessment.
