“As an artist I use various mediums as an aide-memoire, each colour and brushstroke having a significant meaning to me personally and figuratively”

Divyam Raghunath’s practice is concerned with perception and identity both personal and cultural, whether using traditional canvas surface, digital platform, found materiel or performance art highlighting the corporeal, all gestures and movements are ripe for use on plane of his work.
Altering the perception….about art, is his driving force.
Divyam graduated from Lasalle College Of The Arts Singapore with a BA (Hons.) degree from Goldsmiths University Of London and is based in India and currently an Art Director at Leo Burnett.

Divyaman Singh feels truly at home when surrounded by dense forests and high mountains and his love and deep bond with nature was strengthened while growing up in Chaugain village in Buxar district of Bihar and despite being placed in urban spaces that’s where his heart still lies and his paintings depict emotions and natural beauty which is a parallelly flowing experience within him always.

His artworks are clearly suggestive of many transitions flowing within and yet his static self lies where his home is.

Dr. Abhishek Gaurav is a practitioner in internal medicine and has always been passionate about photography from his teenage years and being in a boarding school where almost everyone had a different rangefinder camera during the nineties, Abhishek never missed his turn to try out another lens and another view.

World around him which is always short of a healing touch…offers him several instances of that sudden capture moment and most of his captured visuals are about that sudden special moment which arrives with an element of surprise.
His subjects are mostly drawn from nature of things and way they self-form to perform…years after photography isn’t merely a hobby but a beautiful way for Dr. Abhishek to unwind and escape from the stresses of his demanding profession, he finds solace in the beauty of nature and the intricacies of human emotion that he captures through his lens and intends to inspire others to slow down….observe reflections of beautiful floating moments.
Photography has taught him to observe and appreciate the small things in life, which has translated into a more compassionate approach towards his patients, he believes that its very important to find the right balance and himself adopts the approach which lets him strike a perfect one between his profession and passion and in the long run Doc Ted as he’s widely known… wants to spend more time behind the lens…make an everlasting impact in the world.

Gareema Shankar’s story is amazingly interesting. It is quite usual for people to come to love a sport that they discover; rather unusually, some discover themselves, thanks to the sport they have taken up. Jagjit Singh is an educationist by profession: returned to Welham Boys’ School as a teacher for environmental studies and fine arts in 1993.

Aged trees on the school campus inspired him to write the book ‘A Nature Walk Welham’ and thereafter students remember him as a passionate ornithologist and he’s one of the selected few illustrators cum author in this field… which is a rare combination: a true naturalist by heart!

The works featured in this series are a compilation of Himalayan Landscapes that seem to reflect on the artist’s personal experiences. Though they may be positioned as watercolor landscapes, Kunal Batra’s paintings lie in the realm of narratives – articulating emotion and evoking human responses through form and color.

Through the imagery he takes his viewers on his journey, detailing the softness of snow, the brilliance of sunlight, billowing clouds, wet pebbles rounded by flowing waters, wandering pathways, and picturesque local architecture. Expressive lines contour the rugged terrain, mapping the topography and leading the eye through the scenery. The crispness of atmosphere is tangible through the translucent tones. The works carry an element of the imaginary, illustrating something beyond that which appears on the surface. As with anything embracing the grandeur and beauty of nature, the landscapes achieve a sense of timelessness; they envelop the echoes and silences of eons gone by.

Nikita Gambhir is a self-taught abstractionist and feels that being a mother of two adorable kids.. naturally involves continuous balancing acts between the two and she feels that the act of balancing is quite inbuilt in her and that’s indeed a beautiful reflection to balance the outer inevitable and the unseen inner.

She loves experimenting with inflow of ideas and wants to explore far unknown realms using basic materiel which is why Nikita loves creating textures on canvas plane and believes that her abstractions have some kind of intuitive outreach maybe with her two children and helps her communicate with them and as she says: way of water . acrylic wall putty mixed with talcum powder, pva glue and acrylic paint . 12 by 12 inch . 2023 green blooms . water colour on canson cold pressed paper . 8 by 6 inch . 2020 dreaming under the stars . moulding paste, soil mixture, acrylic paint and aerosol spray . 18 by 14 inch . 2023 wild fire . water colour on canson cold pressed paper . 8 by 6 inch . 2020 overarching themes - ii . digital print on fine art canvas with archival spray . 18 by 14 inch . 2023 overarching themes - iii . digital print on fine art canvas with archival spray . 18 by 14 inch . 2023 overarching themes - iv . digital print on fine art canvas with archival spray .

How can the built and unbuilt environment manifest the living heritage of Saharanpur’s wood handicraft cluster?

What are the analogies that can be drawn between a product and the built environement used for its making?
Architect Saakshar Makhija is trained at the School Of Planning and Architecture, Bhopal. During his formative years he explored graphic design, content writing and architectural photography: all with his in-depth knowledge of graphic interface and design related mechanisms.

Saakshar loves devising solutions to deep rooted problems and especially formulating time saving measures and remedies, parallelly adopting an approach that is much needed for his profession. His curiosity often becomes a guide to identify ‘needs’ in the social framework.
In the future he wants to utilize architecture as medium to re-fill resources and give back to the society and in practice he has followed a bottom-up approach to design where the built and unbuilt environment is designed for the community as well as along the community. His undergraduate thesis project, ‘Reinvigorating the Lives of Wood Handicraft Workers
Through a Skill Development and Exhibition Centre, Saharanpur Uttar Pradesh’- has been awarded by Council of Architecture (COA) and Indian Institute of Architects (IIA), MP chapter.
Saakshar currently works to bring about a desirable impact in clients’ lives while following a similar approach in his design process.

Sejal Surendra Sood is a performance artist who uses her canvas to explore the meditative nature of dance and the very movement that underwrites it, breaking it into transformational and reflective experiences. Her exhibitions are experimental and not just a static viewing of either the canvas or the dance. In an effort to expand her canvas Sejal has redefined performance by blurring the line between the performance stage and the spectator. These experiments in dance have fuelled her canvases.

Sejal dwells artistically in a world that acknowledges no boundaries between art, dance and everyday life. Hers is a stretched canvas that incorporates her movements as a dancer just as easily it does her brush strokes. For her, dance is a an all-encompassing experience going beyond mere movement and into the realm of the spiritual. She sees the cosmic dance of creation even in a meditative silence. With a degree in Mathematics from the prestigious Massachusetts Institute Of Technology (MIT), the artist explains that Mathematics is what gives wings to her creations…

Sejal’s work is profound in a sense that everything seems to be right there as per precisionist calculation, without stating in numbers and flowing straight from the subconscious mind.
“My imagination is the most powerful thing that I have. And that imagination was created by studying mathematics. If I had studied art I don’t think I would have fostered such a deep imagination because in Mathematics you are thinking of everything that is not there. It is pure imagination and curiosity without ego, abstraction without dilution and a depth of knowledge that has no bounds”

“The lesser-known yet rich heritage of my Pahari culture of Kashmir sparked the zeal to paint and photograph in early childhood, giving me an intuitive sense of colours and compositions”

This young artist has always associated his town’s mighty Himalayas and breath-taking nature with the purest form of art and that’s his best guide.
