Welcome to PURSUE 2026! We are thrilled to gather again for the WMU of Texas Annual Meeting and Missions Celebration at the Waco Convention Center on April 17-18, 2026.

This year, our heart is set on disciple-making as we dive into our theme: Pursue. Together, we will explore the depths of our calling through three powerful subthemes: ◊ PURSUE GOD (Psalm 139) ◊ PURSUED BY GOD (Isaiah 55) ◊ PURSUE OTHERS FOR GOD (Acts 4) Whether you are a lifelong missions advocate or just beginning your journey, this weekend is designed to equip and inspire you through Bible studies, expert-led workshops, and a missions fair featuring hands-on ideas for all ages. We are especially excited to hear from the authors of our biblical mentoring resources for missional disciple-making and to engage with missionaries as they share their experiences and prayer requests from the field.

On Saturday, we invite youth to ReNew, a dedicated experience where teens will be empowered for missions leadership. Beyond the sessions, we hope you will enjoy the best of Waco, from the iconic Magnolia Market at the Silos and the interactive Dr. Pepper Museum to the scenic trails of Cameron Park.

Join us as we celebrate what God is doing and prepare for what He has next. We can’t wait to pursue His mission alongside you!

MISSION PROJECT WMU BORDER MINISTRIES COMPASSION BAGS & TOTE BAG DRIVE In 2025, your generous donations of hygiene kits and supplies enabled WMU Border Ministries to assemble and distribute over 300 Compassion Bags to families along the Texas/Mexico border. WHO WAS MARY HILL DAVIS?

Mary Hill Davis was born in Greenville, Georgia, and came to Texas as a small child in 1870 when her family moved from Tennessee to Dallas. At age 20, she married F.S. Davis, a physician. They had one son, Raymond, also a physician and surgeon.

Mary's heart for missions and people was evident in everything she did. She believed Texas was a vast mission field, and that immigrants needed to know Jesus just as much as citizens. Not only did she stir women to give and pray for missions (giving increased by $1.2 million dollars during her presidency), but

she also encouraged leaders to take care of orphans, schools in Texas, as well as China, and retired pastors living in poverty.

Mary Hill Davis passed away on November 24, 1934, and during a memorial service held at the WMU Convention of Houston in 1935, the State Missions Offering was renamed the Mary HIll Davis Offering®.

Today, Mary's remarkable leadership continues to inspire Texas Baptists to give, pray, and serve.
