HOPE

IN JESUS’ NAME

Let us hold fast the confession of our Hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful.

– Hebrews 10:23

In this crazy world we live in today we can place our hope in many different things. We can hope in our careers, our relationships, our education, our belongings.

As Christians we are tempted to trust in our good works. The struggles of life tempt us to try to meet our own needs.

Yet, Scripture encourages us to “hold fast to the confession of our hope without wavering” not based on our abilities but based on the character and faithfulness of God.

Join us in praying for Christian Women’s and Men’s Job Corps sites as we share our confession of Hope through practical, life-changing ministry in the community.

HOPE IN JESUS’ NAME

Our State

Texas has 30 million people spread over 261,231 square miles with a median income of $76,292 and a per capita income of $39,446. Seventy-seven percent of Texas residents claim to be Christians, and 13.7% live in poverty.

Pray that CWJC/CMJC sites will be used by God to reach the 23% who are not believers in Christ. Pray that the yoke of poverty be broken in our state.

“The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. Instead, He is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.”

– 2 Peter 3:9

Our Site Leaders

Pray for CWJC/CMJC site leadership to experience the overwhelming, life transforming love of God as they partake of all that Christ is and has accomplished for them. Pray for a true partnership in the ministry with their supporting churches, Board of

Directors or Advisory Council and volunteers. Pray that site leaders know the victory of walking in the knowledge, wisdom, and power of the Holy Spirit.

“It is because of him that you are in Christ Jesus, who has become for us wisdom from God—that is, our righteousness, holiness and redemption.” – 1 Corinthians 1:30

Our Churches

Pray for churches to be rooted in the love of Christ and to catch the vision of meeting the needs of its neighborhood through the practical, life transforming model of CWJC/CMJC.

Pray for the church to hear God’s call to support or start CWJC/CMJC sites in cities across the state. Give us every county of Texas, Lord Jesus.

“Then he said to his disciples, “The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field.”

– Matthew 9:37-38

Our Participants

Pray for our participants to discover their identities in Christ and experience victory as they grow in Spirit, knowledge, and wisdom in their lives. Pray that the yoke of poverty—spiritual and relational— will be broken from lives today and for generations to come.

“For you were called to freedom, brothers. Only do not use your freedom as an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another.” – Galatians 5:13

Our Volunteers

Pray for volunteers to release God’s love and healing through their service. Pray that mentors will have wisdom and grace in modeling the Christ-filled life to their mentees. Ask the Lord of the Harvest to send workers to all of our Texas sites in abundance.

“If anyone has material possessions and sees a brother or sister in need but has no pity on them, how can the love of God be in that person?” – 1 John 3:17-18
