Interwoven Stories: A Nantucket Stitching Gam Noon - 2 pm • Nantucket Whaling Museum 13 Broad St. at South Water

A drop-in workshop in the year-long community project by Nantucket Atheneum, Nantucket Historical Association, and Artists Association of Nantucket in which participants create embroidered narratives of their Nantucket experiences. Free kits available with an 8.5” X 11” fabric page, embroidery thread, needle and hoop. Free. nantucketatheneum.org

Lecture: Mark Foster

Five O’Clock Shadow in Concert

7 pm • The Dreamland, 17 South Water St. The third of Downtown Celebrity Concerts for 2018 from Nantucket Art Council features energetic six-man a cappella group and recording artists Five O’Clock Shadow, with Nantucket native Caleb Whelden. Susan J. Berman in Concert: Nantucket Girl Be Ready to Sail

6:30 pm • Nantucket Whaling Museum 13 Broad St. at Federal St. Nantucket Historical Association presents folk singer and guitarist Susan J. Berman in a concert of new and old songs about Nantucket history and events. Tickets $10. nha.org

Poetry in Motion Dance Performance

6:30 - 7 pm • White Heron Theatre Company 5 N. Water St. behind Whaling Museum White Heron Theatre Company / Nantucket Theatre Institute and Nantucket Ballet collaborate to bring Poetry in Motion to the stage. Community Jazz Band Concert
