PREDICTABLE OCCLUSAL THERAPY IN RESTORATIVE DENTISTRY Presented by DeWitt Wilkerson, DMD | Friday, October 16, 2009 Frederik Meijer Gardens & Sculpture Park | 8:00am to 4:00pm | 7 CEU’s For over 40 years, Dr. Peter Dawson and the Dawson Academy faculty have influenced the dental profession through teaching Concepts of Complete Dentistry. These concepts include managing dental occlusion, establishing effective communication with dental laboratories, and implementing practice systems to produce predictability in restorative dentistry. The practice model has been shared with almost 25,000 dentists worldwide. This course will overview the Principles of Complete Dentistry taught at the Dawson Academy and practiced daily by Dr. Wilkerson for over 26 years. Attendees will leave the seminar with a better understanding of the four key factors of dental occlusion: Function, Dysfunction, NonFunctional Factors, and Parafunction. Dr. Wilkerson’s goals include teaching attendees to better evaluate the masticatory system for harmony and disharmony with an understanding of “classic occlusion,” and an appreciation of the scientific basis for centric relation. This seminar will assist attendees in developing clear occlusal treatment plans for all patients, allowing us to better treat problems of the masticatory system. DeWitt Wilkerson, D.M.D. has been in private practice with Dr. Dawson’s group since 1982. His practice emphasis has been focused on restorative dentistry, temporomandibular disorders, and solving occlusal problems.
