Oral Art and Design: The Synergy of Esthetics and Function Today’s dental patient arrives at our office with an unprecedented motivation for esthetic dentistry. This lecture will explore a vast array of functional esthetic techniques that will help define proven systems for predictable success when designing and completing the comprehensive esthetic case. When function and esthetics are synergistically combined, today’s dentist and ceramist have the ability to mimic the beauty and elegance of the human model to a high degree, creating happy patients and a satisfied dental team.

While maintaining a full-time practice in Omaha, Dr. Sesemann lectures internationally and has published several manuscripts on the techniques necessary for successful completion of the comprehensive restorative case.

He is a faculty member at the Dawson Institute in St. Petersburg, FL, the Institute of Oral Art and Design in Sarasota, FL, and the Beverly Hills Institute of Dental Esthetics. In addition, he serves on the editorial boards of Practical Procedures and Aesthetic Dentistry, and the Journal of Cosmetic Dentistry.

Dr. Sesemann received his dental degree in 1981 from the University of Nebraska Medical Center College of Dentistry and has maintained a private practice since that time.

Having become an Accredited Member of the Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry (AACD) in 1999, he earned Accredited Fellow status in 2004. Dr. Sesemann currently serves as an examiner for the accreditation and fellowship processes after serving as Chair of Accreditation for the AACD in 2001-2004.
