Robert Graham Greenland, DDS, MS Grand Rapids
Dr. Greenland grew up in Rockford, Michigan and is excited to help local colleagues and patients. He says, “West Michigan will always be home.” In addition to prosthodontics, he also enjoys his hobby of collecting and restoring fountain pens. Undergraduate: University of Detroit Mercy Dental: University of Detroit Mercy Residency: Mayo Clinic, Advanced Prosthodontics Fellowship: MD Anderson Cancer Center, Maxillofacial Prosthodontics and Oral Oncology Q: You can only keep ONE app on your phone. What do you pick? A: Reddit. Q: What’s your favorite dental instrument and why? A: 7A wax spatula. In a pinch I can wax up, tune occlusion, and festoon with this alone before processing a denture. Q: What’s your favorite TV show, podcast, or radio show? A: Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex. Q: Favorite fall activity? A: Corn maze. Joshua Wansten, DDS, Byron Center

After living in Chicago, Dr. Wansten and his family are returning to West Michigan. He and his wife grew up in Kentwood, Michigan, and they are happy to be returning home, closer to their extended families. Dr. Wansten joins his dental school classmate, Scott Snyder, and Dr. Snyder’s father, Steve Snyder, at Snyder Family Dentistry. Undergraduate: University of Michigan Dental School: University of Michigan Residency: Loyola University Medical Center, General Practice Residency Q: What do you like to do for fun? A: I love to be outdoors and like to hike, bike, and play basketball.
I also enjoy teaching my children sports and reading non-fiction. Q: What does a typical weekend look like for you in the fall? A: Kids’ soccer games and cheering for Michigan football. Q: Did you try anything new or pick up any new hobbies during the pandemic? A: I had the opportunity to very slowly learn to play the guitar. Q: What’s your favorite fall activity? A: I look forward to apple cinnamon donuts from the orchard.
