With hands-on training and expert faculty, the College of Health and Human Services at WKU will prepare you for life after graduation. Majors in CHHS grew by 130% between Fall 2003 and Fall 2013, from 2,264 to 5,237 students. The reason for the growth in CHHS is the engagement of the exceptional faculty and staff who address the changing shifts in higher education.
Students in the Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders start providing speech therapy as undergraduates through the WKU Clinical Education Complex, a Head Start center located on campus, and the Buddy House, which serves adults with Down Syndrome.

+ Accept all scholarships and financial aid by May 1. + Enjoy your last month of high school! + A few days before you graduate, talk with your guidance counselor and make sure they will send a final high school transcript (with your final grades and graduation date on it) to WKU. + If you’ve taken any dual credit courses during high school, have an official transcript sent to the Admissions Office so that you can receive credit for those courses. + If you were admitted to the Honors College, keep an eye on your mail for the H4 application and sign up.
+ Priority Housing Deadline is March 31! Make sure that you have your application in by that date. + Attend a follow up visit! Contact the department you’re interested in to see if you can meet with a faculty member or sit in on a class. + If you have questions about Financial Aid, now is the time to get them answered! + If you did not meet your ACT benchmarks, keep an eye on your email and mail for information about the Summer Early Entry program – it is a wonderful opportunity to get developmental course needs taken care of before the fall semester.

There is a $150 security deposit for the housing application. + In mid-February, you will receive an email about Topper Orientation Program dates.
