All proceeds raised support Elmwood’s athletic programs and athletes. “We’ve got a lot of new vendors and a slate of good speakers, including one [Kerry Davis of White Iron Beach Resort] who is giving away a free vacation each time he speaks,” said Brad Crisco, who coordinates the annual event. And in an effort to become more family friendly, organizers have brought back the outdoor

fishing pond and created a Kid’s Zone in the junior high. “There will be all kinds of kids activities and back by popular demand is the trout pond, where a kid can fish and bring home dinner if they want,” Crisco said. Hunters who want deer heads measured can do so, with drop off Thursday and Friday from 58 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m. to noon. There is also a non-deer taxidermy contest, with a $100 prize for the most popular entry. Learn more at elmwoodalloutdoors.com.
