BASIC NEEDS

Shepherd’s House was established in 2005 to help a growing need in Central Oregon; to feed, clothe, and shelter those experiencing homelessness. The primary focus was to provide a safe haven away from the dangers of the streets for men to find a place of refuge and love. In 2011 Shepherd’s House began to grow by adding a long-term addiction recovery program first, for men and then to include women and children. Since then Shepherd’s House has served thousands of hurting people, helping them to find a better path.
Today, Shepherd’s House has grown to serve over 200 unique individuals on a daily basis by providing emergency shelter service in Bend and Redmond, mobile outreach services to those living on the fringes through Project S.H.A.R.E., long-term addiction recovery program impacting 75 men, women, and children including extended family, and stable housing for over 30 program graduates.
Because the need continues to grow, Shepherd's House has determined to grow along with these needs. Our hope is to double capacity in the next 3 years to include a new year-round shelter in Redmond, expanded capacity in Bend, including a new Navigation Center, doubling the capacity for men, women, and children in our established addiction recovery programs, as well as providing 4 sober living homes so program graduates can maintain long-term health and stability.
As an organization that recognizes the incredible worth and value of each individual who walks through our doors, we desire to partner with the Central Oregon Community by providing ways for you to be a part of the solution for the ever-growing homeless epidemic. As an individual, family, business, church, or organization, our door is wide open for all to help. Will you join us in working to make life better for those facing some of life’s most di cult challenges by helping them to find a more healthy and sustainable path?
