This album shows t d for the stacks at the Wits Medical Library by Shirley Talerman (née Silkiner), a librarian from 1956 to 1966. They were placed at the ends of the shelves, to indicate where the various journals of the time were to be found. Today they are preserved along the corridor of the Wits Health Sciences Library, Parktown.
This illustrated album forms part of the Wits Faculty of Health Sciences supported eBook, an initiative of the alumni of the graduating class of 1960 which highlights and documents the rich history of the medical faculty during the time that they were students.
