So, as the season draws to a close, we arrive at perhaps the biggest fixture of the year: Ann & Les’ Wedding — and what a match this promises to be. Two sides, evenly matched.
Les brings age, stamina, and experience — no stranger to these big occasions.
Ann brings grace, sparkle, and that unmistakable savoirfaire that unsettles the opposition before sweeping them aside. You will find a full team sheet later in the programme.
I’m really looking forward to this one.
Of course, occasions like this don’t happen without the support of some key individuals, and I’d like to thank just a few:
Firstly, today’s match official, Nicola Gargan, taking charge in the centre of the park — thank you, and here’s hoping for a fair game.
Mike Edworthy, Visi, and Hayley for providing the transport — after all, there’s no match without the players arriving on time.

Following training on 19 March, a group of Wizards, some veterans, all Club members will spend the night out in the elements raising money for a very th good cause. Every night, thousands of veterans ri here in the UK face the harsh reality of sleeping r Together, we can help change that. We’ll be swap the comfort of our beds for one night, under the st No frills, No luxury. Just us, our sleeping bags, an the cold. Every pound you donate will go directly to Royal British Veterans Enterprise (RBVE), helping to provide safe homes, mental health support, employment opportunities, and a strong community where veterans support one another. T fundraiser — it’s a statement: we don’t leave our veterans behind.
