We are strongly supportive of the United Kingdom Lubricant Association, which acts as the voice of the UK lubricants industry. ATIEL is the technical association of the European lubricants industry and has a Code of Practice, which provides guidance for developers and marketers of engine lubricants designed to meet current European performance specifications. Being a part of these initiatives brings transparency to the lubricant market place and protects and educates the end user. UEIL - The Union of the European Lubricant Industry (UEIL) is the umbrella association of the European Lubricants Industry, representing their members and, in particular, the interests of SMEs and independent lubricant companies. To date, the UEIL represents more than 450 lubricant companies, who manufacture and distribute lubricant products under their own various trademarks throughout the European Union. With members in more than 22 European Countries and a unique collective experience of lubricants and the lubricants market, UEIL is the sole representative body for independent manufacturers of lubricants in Europe and has been recognised as such by the European Commission. It is UEIL’s policy to favour free and fair competition within the scope of prevailing EU and national laws. BULK STORAGE TANKS As part of our service, we can supply a range of specialist bulk storage tanks for workshops and outbuildings. We can help advise on the best way to install the tanks which for standard sizes are f ree of charge! (Subject to a technical lubrication survey). Your lubricants are filled up in the colour coded tanks as required, and the tanks have sight gauges, taps or pumps and come labelled with the different product names and their application.

Simple, clean and easy to use, these tanks help keep your working space ship-shape, avoid spills from containers, helps avoid oil contamination and helps the environment by using less packaging. They also provide important health & safety requirements for lubricant storage.

OWN LABEL SERVICE Witham Group are proud to be able to offer customers their own range of bespoke “own label “ lubricants, paints, and cleaning products. That is why Witham Group are committed to helping our customers on all aspects of lubricant efficiency and rationalisation, recommending only the right products for the relevant type of vehicle or equipment. We offer a free Technical Lubrication Survey of all your vehicles, no matter how big or small and we help you keep track of which oil or grease, anti-freeze or brake fluid is right for which vehicle. We also suggest if you are using too many different lubricants unnecessarily and help you rationalise your lubricant purchasing in the most efficient way. This Witham Group service is free of charge and with no obligation, yet provides an easy to understand and really useful summary in a professional reference file containing all the lubricant recommendations for every type of vehicle in your fleet, which you can refer to again and again. FACTORY VISITS & TOURS Learn About the World of Lubricants - If you like vehicles, machinery, engineering or engines, then finding out about how lubricants are made is what we do best. We are delighted to welcome visitors throughout the year to our Lincoln HQ and manufacturing factory. From car clubs, young farmers, engineers, college students, apprentices, mechanics, classic and vintage car owners, to farming groups as well as distributors or just interested customers, visitors get lubricants explained, a history of the Witham Group and all the industries and sectors we work in as well as technical Q&A sessions, bespoke to the audience.

Along with some fun and good old fashioned Witham hospitality, we explain all about how lubricants are made, show how we take raw materials and blend with unique processes and additives to create all the different “recipes” that result in the wide variety of lubricants you can buy off the shelf. The importance of using the right oil for the right application and what can go wrong if you don’t.

REVOLUTIONISING GLOBAL LUBRICANT BLENDING WITH

“The greenest kWh is the one you never use”…

The necessity to improve time, cost, and the environmental impact of the lubricant manufacturing industry, has driven Witham Group to develop and employ an innovative new blending system using ultrasound. “Blendtek”, as the process is called, removes the need for base oils and additives being heated at all, therefore eliminating the use of traditional gas and/or oil fired boilers for heat energy.

As a manufacturer of a huge range of different lubricants, this new technique enables us to blend thousands of tonnes of products using energy from solar panels and a simple 25 amp plug, saving time, energy and drastically reducing our carbon footprint. To blend a simple 10 tonne batch of oil product now takes less than 40 minutes, whereas previously the same batch would have taken 3 to 4 hours to complete in total.

“We believe we are the first company in the world to blend our lubricants in a carbon neutral way, using unique ultrasound technology and solar panels and this exciting breakthrough is all about changing the environmental impact of lubricant manufacturing in the first place. Quad Bike Engine Oil 10W-30 & 10W-40 Qualube MCEO 10W-30 & 10W-40 are dedicated 4T motorcycle engine oils, suitable for both water and air cooled motorcycles and all-terrain vehicles (ATV’s) such as quad bikes. Manufactured to the JASO T903: 2011 MA2 specification, both products provide outstanding protection and performance in all sorts of conditions.

Quad Bike & Motorcycle Engine Oil 10W-30

These products demonstrate outstanding deposit control compared to a standard car engine oil, ensuring the narrow oil ways within the engine are kept clean and clear. The needs of ATV’s are distinct in that the requirements are for the fluid to lubricate the gearbox as well. ATV oil temperatures will often exceed those in cars, requiring better thermal stability to minimise oil degradation and deposit formation.

Generally ATV’s also run at higher speeds, outputs and higher temperatures, hence higher lubricity performance is vital to reduce metal to metal friction and heat generation so providing better operating temperatures.

Qualube Extremol 15W-40 This high performance, heavy duty Agricultural Tractor Engine Oil for diesel engines, which is formulated using advanced Group II base oil technology and enhanced additive systems and manufactured to give exceptional performance whatever the conditions. This product gives constant protection against deposits that build up from fuel combustion and is ideal for use in heavy duty diesel engines in severe on and off highway applications. GREASES

Lithium Complex This NLGI.2 grease is for applications where high temperature and load carrying is required. It also incorporates a tacky additive to give excellent resistance to water.

Often used as a general purpose grease where washing down is frequent.

Lithium Extreme Pressure 2 Grease An extreme pressure NLGI.2 grease, this multi-purpose product is specified by many manufacturers.

Multi-Purpose EP2 Calcium Grease Qualube Multi-Purpose EP2 Calcium Grease is a high-quality, water-repellent lubricating grease formulated with calcium instead of lithium, offering a lower environmental impact and helping reduce reliance on lithium. This multi-purpose grease delivers excellent adhesion and water resistance, making it ideal for both industrial and automotive applications. It is suitable for a wide range of plain and rolling bearings, ensuring reliable performance in various conditions.

Benefits: Excellent Water Resistance • Very Good Corrosion Protection • Wide range of applications.

HYDRAULIC OILS Hydrapower HV46 A superior ISO 46 grade hydraulic fluid suitable for use in most hydraulic systems where a High Viscosity Index lubricant is required, such as self-propelled harvesters, hydrostatic drives, hedge cutters, topper mowers and where heat and wear is a problem. This product is formulated using very high Shear Stable VI improvers in order to meet the high demands of Poclain Hydraulics amongst others.

Qualube Blue Antifreeze is a general purpose antifreeze, based on silicate and nitrate inhibitor technology. Qualguard ORATEC 50/50 Coolant

This Coolant is a monoethylene glycol-based engine and is a pre-mixed ready to use coolant.

The additive package is designed with the latest inhibitor component technology to produce finished antifreeze, which is free of amine, phosphate & silicate. The combination of the longlasting organic additives with carefully selected mineral inhibitors makes this technology extremely suitable for application in heavy-duty cast-iron engines.

Used as a cooling and heat transferring fluid in combustion engines and in particular for heavy duty applications, excessive heat is transferred via the fluid to the radiator where the mixture is cooled by means of airflow. This Hybrid Coolant provides maintenance free protection against freezing and boiling and offers many benefits to the engine.

Qualguard ORATEC 50/50 Coolant is an extended life antifreeze which should be replaced every five years or every 250,000 km for passenger vehicles or every 1,000,000 km for trucks and commercial vehicles. Non-Toxic & Non-Carcinogenic

Prolan products are made with lanolin derived from sheep’s wool. Lanolin is a powerful natural product often known as ‘wool grease’ and has been used for centuries as a natural moisturiser and protector. Raw lanolin is a natural substance secreted by sheep to provide a protective coating on their fleece for protection in harsh conditions. Once the sheep have been shorn, the fleece undergoes a scouring and refining process to extract the lanolin and to clean the fleece.

Prolan lubricants have gained a number of International Food Safety Approvals and in the UK are NSF approved for both H1 and H2 requirements. This means they are certified as approved ‘food-grade lubricants’.

Lanolin’s strong lubricating and protective qualities have been used to outstanding effect in many industries, particularly on metal surfaces and moving parts, by forming a long lasting natural barrier that protects and prevents corrosion. Its unique formula enables the lubricants to stay in place and not evaporate. They are not washed off or displaced by salt water spray, which sets them apart from traditional petroleum based lubricants.

An ultra-effective, blend of selected purging solvents which are highly effective for removing gun powder, lead, other metals, and plastic wad from cartridge residues. The cleaner removes such items from exposed and internal metal surfaces and displaces non-visible moisture from metal pores. Due to its unique solvent ratio & propellant mix, it is a quick, super-efficient and easy to use product which penetrates rapidly and flows freely, cleaning dirt and grime from the fine mist aerosol. This Gun Barrel & Choke cleaner is also specifically designed to dry slower to ensure it removes even the most stubborn deposits.

EXTERIOR WOODCARE Sadolin Superdec - Opaque Wood Protection

This is the ultimate solution when an opaque solid colour is required, ideal for hiding timber blemishes. It provides superior vapour permeable protection and is flexible to resist cracking, peeling & flaking. Woco Timberlast Complete Wood Protector

Timberlast Wood Protector is an economical solvent based, ready to use wood treatment. It protects, colours and penetrates the timber and uses biocide preservers to prevent the decay and surface growth of moulds. It is ideal to decorate and protect sheds, fences, trellis, decking and any timber structures where a translucent colour and water repellent finish is required, whilst leaving the wood grain visible. It is harmless to plants when dry and uses UV resistant pigments.

This highly recommended product is used as the first step in the preparation of wood restoration and d ecorating. It is compatible with our Stain Blocking Primer and outstanding top coat.

KOVERFLOR TYPE F POLYURETHANE PAINT Koverflor Type F is an outstanding polyurethane based, quick drying, single pack floor paint.

It gives a tough abrasion resistance finish and can be applied to clean, dry mature concrete, brickwork, quarry tiles, stone, wood and linoleum.

This oil and petrol resisting paint prevents cement based floors from ‘dusting up’ and comes highly recommend for many businesses. It’s especially used in garage workshops, showrooms, offices, corridors and high volume pedestrian traffic areas that are subject to hard wear.
