WHAT IS WOCO BARN PAINT MADE FROM?
Woco Barn Paint is manufactured using a unique blend of water based acrylic resins with high quality organic/ inorganic pigments to colour.
HOW DO YOU APPLY BARN PAINT?
You can brush, roller or spray Woco Barn paint.
WHAT IS THE COVERAGE OF WOCO BARN PAINT?
Woco Barn Paint will cover approx. 8 -10 sq. metres per litre. The variance is dependent on application, and of course the substrate you are painting.
WHAT IS THE OPACITY OF WOCO BARN PAINT?
Woco Barn Paint has very good opacity and colour retention. One or two coats would be recommended depending on the substrate to be painted, minimum two coats onto bare wood, please consult our technical department for advice on preparation and application.
IS WOCO BARN PAINT SUITABLE TO USE ON THE INTERNAL WALLS OF WOODEN STABLES?
Woco Barn Paint is a water-based acrylic and therefore once dry is perfectly suitable for use around animals.
IS WOCO BARN PAINT SUITABLE TO USE ON METAL, CORRUGATED IRON OR PLASTICS?
For paint on bare metal surfaces we would recommend the use of a water-based primer (TDS 576), any corrosion will need pretreating with a rust bonding primer TDS 325 and for application onto plastics, we also recommend a suitable pre-treatment primer to ensure a good adhesion for help on this, please contact us.
DOES THE BARN PAINT CONTAIN A STAIN BLOCKER TO STAINING WHEN USED ON TANNIC WOOD?
No, we would advise to a stain blocking primer such as TDS 598 especially under the pale shades.
CAN IT BE USED ON GARDEN DECKING?
Yes, Woco Barn Paint can be used on garden decking but reapplication may be require on high traffic areas.
CAN I PAINT OVER A PRE-PAINTED SHED / FENCE / PERGOLA ETC.?
Yes, you can paint directly over an existing painted surface. We recommend the surface is cleaned well and / or rubbed down lightly with sandpaper before applying.
CAN WOCO B ARN P AINT BE APPLIED OVER TRADITIONAL CREOSOTE / WOOD PRESERVATIVES?
Yes, if the Creosote / Wood Preservative is sufficiently weathered and has lost its oily appearance. We would not recommend WOCO Barn Paint to be applied over freshly applied creosote / creocote / wood preservatives due to bleeding. We also recommend an application of blocking primer if used on resinous timber.
CAN I USE BARN PAINT ON MASONRY / BRICKWORK?
Yes, you can use Woco Barn Paint on masonry and brickwork.
