RENÉE FLEMING May 2, 2020 | Shannon Hall, Memorial Union One of the most beloved and celebrated singers of our time, soprano Renée Fleming captivates audiences with her sumptuous voice, consummate artistry and compelling stage presence. In addition to being awarded the National Medal of Arts, the United States’ highest honor for an individual artist, by President Obama in 2013, Fleming’s acclaim also includes four Grammy Awards and historic performances at the 2006 Nobel Peace Prize ceremony, 2012 Diamond Jubilee Concert for Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II at Buckingham Palace and 2014 commemoration of the 25th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall at the Brandenburg Gate.

ESCHER STRING QUARTET Jan. 25, 2020 | Shannon Hall Joined on stage by 100th anniversary artistic advisor David Finckel, cello, for Schubert’s Quintet in C Major D. 956, the energetic quartet also pays homage to the first Concert Series in 1920 with Kreisler’s Quartet in A Minor.
